I just remembered that I have a home visit to do on the east side tomorrow at 1. I think after that I should be able to scoot over to Phalen and at least get to spend a little time with whoever is there.

I was there for a few hrs after the clue, but came home so marley can put another full day in tomorrow :) Its fun digging at night, specially with the full moon, but hard to see.

2:21AM - Just got back from the 'correct' ;) part of the park. Hey, guess what I found in a Sun Chips bag? Got in some good dig today. It felt good. I'm sure I'll pay for it later though.

i'm working till lunch. then digging for a while. then working again until 4 or so. then digging until i find the damn thing.
i do want to say though that dal has just told me that she found the treasure i hid. coincidentally, frosti, it was a copy of the joshua tree that i'd scratched attempting to give to me2. she was thrilled for about 5 seconds until she realised that there was nothing attached to it. i'm gonna have to ask her if she put it back or not.
I got a little excited last night too. Once when I found a plastic bag by the base of a tree. I discovered it was dog poop. And then later when I found the wrapper to a $100Grand candy bar.
I suppose it's been light out for a couple of hours now and still no calls from anyone saying they've found it. Could well happen sometime today though. I'm kind of hoping it doesn't go to 12 clues in that it seems it would take a bit of the fun out of it, turning it into more of a race than a hunt. But Clue #12 is ready nonetheless to go out in about 10 1/2 hours.
And thanks Ares. It must be fun to get you to come out so often in person. ;-) The only bad part about being the cluewriter is I don't really get to go out and spend time with people while hunting. On the plus side though I don't really have to put my life on hold either during the hunt. hehe. Although if we do get to Clue #12, I think I will release it online and then head over to the park instead of my Mason meeting.

Dropping the kid off at daycare then it's back to the back breaking. I think I'll dress appropriately today though. My work clothes are messed up from last night. I think "I'll just do a quick walk around before work and not really dig" then end up digging all night crawling around in the brush.

At 12:15pm or so today Jake and Snake (well, really Snake's son Donny) found the coin in a patch of brush just off the running path, across Wheelock from the main gate in Zone #3 near Earl St.
