I thought the Big W was actually a Big S on the front door of the house at the corner of Forest & Arlington. That's the main clue I wanna have cleared up.
So if you see what looks like a small bomb that went off in that area, it was just a misdirected, undernourished, under slept treasure hunter with visions of Wonderland.
Until the explanations are posted, I still say that we were right Frosti. We'll see if his answers fit better than ours... ;}
It's always bitter sweet at the end of a hunt. It would of been nice to find it but then again, I have tons of sh!t that I need to get caught up on at home and at work. Kind of like a caveman coming out from his cave for the first time in spring. Ahhh
(Plus I can give my brain a rest and let it go back into hibernating again) Time to visit an old friend of mine... T.V. (sorry Terry, ..television)
I think I may have figured something else about clue #5. The first letters of it are "CMHC". Off of Ivy, in front of Phalen Shores apts is the Minnesota Humanities Commission. The clue could refer to "See MHC"
Give a prize to TMK for finally figuring out the hidden meaning of Clue #5. That and a group of fir trees, or any group of trees would be a "forest". But there really were fir trees by the hiding spot as well. Sorry to take so long to post, have been on the phone for a while here.
Let's see, not sure what the big S even was so no, that's not part of the clues. Any other questions I missed?
Maybe Dal should give you the $9 from the Fern's pool. After all, you were the first one to figure out that, Wheelock (as far as I know) and you were the first one to post that the coin was hidden in something covered in dirt or mud. So you should probably get a prize for being the first one to figure out the most clues (again, as far as I know)
Hi everyone, the hunt was great fun! Nice seeing all of you. We are buying the beer down da Bugg's tonight, everyone is welcome. We are going back to Phalen to get some pictures. Hope to see ya'll tonight!
Everything Irish in Clue 8 was meant to get you to think of the word "wee" as a synonym for tiny. Clue 2 was the "One Tree Hill" that was near the hiding spot.
No, we're not going to the King. You can go there later if you want but I'm not going there so if you want your money, Buggs is the best you can hope for. I am considering a rehash bash at Fern's though next weekend.
That's basically what Clue 11 means Artemis. It was almost on a straight line extended from Clear St. and was basically across Wheelock from the main gate. Line those two up and you get the vicinity the brush was in.
So Allison, you're saying "exhaust" had no meaning, other than it rhymed? What about "carbon monoxide" earlier? Those two didn't mean anything? That would make me feel better, since I couldn't figure anything that fit for those.
Shoot!!! I finally get things worked out to get out there and it's already found.
Congratulations to the finders!!!
Dang! I looked there two nights ago! I know exactly where you're talking about.
Congrats Donny and Jake and Snake!
What was it hidden in?
Great hunt, AW. Thank you!!!
When will we get the explanations?
Check photo #152 on www.treasurehunt.8m.com, I believe this is the spot they're talking about. Dang dang dang!
The things was found in a mud covered jewelry box under the leaves and brush.
I have the complete clue explanations at home unfortunately, but I could give some brief ones in a little bit.
Is this where it was found? Which bird was it under?

no, one, i'm not sick.
though i do need to find a bunch of something to load up on to unstuff my head.
That would make sense kids
TMK, that makes better sense. I was thinking HCMC would be a place you could go to if you needed an I.V.

Oooh, what prize do I get? And yes, I know it would have helped before. If it had really helped me, I'd have the medallion!
was there anything to that?

Exhaust rhymed well with lost and frost. That clue was just leading ot the name Phalen (failin')
Sorry Jake, You'll never catch me at Buggs Bar- or any other bar in SSP. But thanks anyway
AW - St. Patty's Day - Good luck charm?
Nice job Jake! When are you guys headin' out there. I wanna get a 360 pix of the exact area.
What about clue 2?
allison...maybe the presentation should be at the KING instead???
Everything Irish in Clue 8 was meant to get you to think of the word "wee" as a synonym for tiny. Clue 2 was the "One Tree Hill" that was near the hiding spot.
What presentation? What King? King of Diamonds? EEEWWW

We're kidding Allison!
Allison- what were the changes in clue 11? you said you re-wrote it to help more?
Allison, can you make sure you let everyone know we're buying the drinks tonight at Bugg's??
I changed the first phrase to "Brush away that tear" instead of "Have no fear" with brush alluding to the brush it was hidden in.
We are out! Hope to see everyone at Bugg's tonight!
almost perfectly clear-just off clear st
Brush-under brush
stopped by that gate- outside the gated part
is there more?
Vote between Buggs and somewhere else? I think the winners should get to choose the place tonight, but we can have the rehash somewhere else.

Coo coo cool.
next weekend sounds good.
I was thinking next weekend too. I don't have time this weekend either. The only time next weekend I can't do is Saturday afternoon.
AW - Are you still going to post all the explanations in their entirety when you get home?
was there anything to that?
