so i get a call maybe an hour ago from my brother's roommate, up on the slopes at spirit mountain. "j you don't know what you're missing up here" um, yeah i do. i'm missing re-acquiring a stuffed up head thank you very much. and actually i'm rather enjoying missing that :)
Originally I wanted DSL but it wasn't available where I lived. I went with cable but it was only one way. I had to upload through the phone line. So when I could get DSL I did. Now that I'm all ticked off at Qwest I'm gonna switch back. I wouldn't switch to cable now though if it was still only one way.
so terry, how're things going with you? from what i hear i should have went up nort' yesterday. but of course, i'm not getting sick, and i'm not exactly sore :)
The cold is moved into the ears...plugged up and feels like I'm talking in a tunnel. This isn't the most miserable cold I've had, but it's still not pleasant.
I bet the skiing was great with all the new snow up there.
Trying to get two computers on one cable modem is an interesting thing to do. Currently I'm back on my nonexistent qwest dialup waiting for all the tech folks to figure out what to do next. Seems there's a number they need from the router to make it all work...and now we can't get ahold of the router folks.
I thought of you yesterday frosti! I saw that grateful dead picture on the back window of someones car! I thought that was kinda weird and wondered if it was you!
This is something I've thought about every year. For at least the past 20 years, we go camping at Cleary Lake over Memorial Day weekend. We like privacy, so we rent a groupcampsite, although there are only 4-8 who actually stay overnight. The rest of the family commutes daily.
It's a cool park, and we have the most coveted site reserved again this year. Check out the link for park info. We are camping at Cleary Point.
There is plenty of room at our site. If anyone would be interested in B.Y.O.B. (bring your own beef, bring your own beer, etc) Pot Luck Picnic, we're open to it. I think the Saturday would work best. And if you have a tent to bring along, what the hell, spend the night.
Wavy Gravy won't be there, so don't expect 'breakfast in bed for 400,000'.
(HINT) maybe Allison could put something together for a one-day hunt?
Did I mention that Canterbury Park and Mystic Lake are very close?
If it would have been last year I woulda took you up on that Ian! we are getting a travel trailer this year and have a seasonal site in isanti all set up so that's where we will be this year, It's only about an hour away so maybe we could tempt you to come up some weekend this year? It's on the rum river so you can go tubing and canoeing, and they just put in a new pool last year.
whenever. last friday was my day to bring the do-do's in to work in the morning. i proceeded to forget and had to leave to go pick them up. like you say, better late than never :)
OK,once again I log in and no one is here, one of these day's I'll catch up with you guy's!

yeah that too.
Frosti thanks for the cds! There awesome!
Wuuuuuuuu Wuuuuuuuu Wuuuuuuuuuu!
Every time I see this picture I think of you!
WHAT HAPPENED TO MR. NEWS
Marley, glad you liked the discs. But, why do you think of me when you see a frozen bicycle?
Ares, you should have gone skiing. RC and I went yesterday at Afton and had a blast. It was a great day for it!
should have, but didn't. of course my head is all the better for it, and i'm not sore this morning :)
I skiied this time instead of snowboarding, so I'm not very sore at all. Of course, it helps that I know how to ski. Snowboarding, not so much.
Maybe someone can explain this one to me. On my way home from work this morning I passed a church. The sign out front had this message...
"Absolutly no christmas in heaven."
Does anyone else understand this? Sorry, but I just don't get it.
What denomination was the church, Wolvie?
I will have to check on my way to work tonight. I can't remember.
TXH, who is that in your new avatar?

You talking to me, THX?

It's THX 1138 of course (Robert Duval).
HXT, is that movie any good?
HXT, is that movie any good?
I love it but, ask Scribe what she thinks of it.
Good Evening!
Life sure has been busy the past few days. I think planning something every few weeks would be a fun way to stay in touch until the next hunt.
Anyone going up to Fitger's in Duluth for that Bock Hunt this weekend? Hope to see you there. Should be tons of fun!
evenin' thx. was it an incorrect aohell password or the firewall's just blocking things for ya?
Hey Terry!
evenin' thx. was it an incorrect aohell password or the firewall's just blocking things for ya?
Haven't looked yet. I'll go see now.

that's what they said when they got back. nice thing about fresh powder: it doesn't hurt when you wipe out.

Mornin' Sam
mornin' ralph.
I do have a tiny GD logo on the back window of the mini-van. It's pretty unobtrusive. About the size of a silver dollar.
Grateful Dead, you either love em or you hate em.
Old joke:
Q: What does a Grateful Dead fan say when they run out of pot?
A: What's this awful music?
You said it, not me.
:-)
Yeah. Can't take myself too seriously, now can I?
Q: Where do you hide something from a deadhead?
A: Under the soap.

Ian - I was using the same qwest numbers I always used. It's that they can't find our account to turn it off that keeps us going and going and going.
Good Evening! Back on the cable modem. Much nicer.
Busy day behind me...a busy one coming up.
Better hit the sheets here soon...so goodnight and SCDs to all!
