The school has that figured...The paid riders need to present school ID, and be compared to a list. The nearest stop is a block and a half away. They raised lunch prices too.All this is making the move out west more attractive.

Wolvie, try adding diced beets to your salad. That is, if you like beets. It turns the whole thing pink. Well, gotta go, I'll make pizza for everyone for lunch.Extra cheese.

K.T., do they cut school administrative positions, or give them lower raises?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Do they make an active effort to cut kids from the subsidized meals whose parents can afford it?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Do they make any effort at all to cut extraneous expenses?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo.

They do whatever they can to inconvenience students and parents so they get the next school bond issue passed or more money from the legislature or the city.

ya know, it really is a pain in the butt to do all this formatting of the archive of medallion hunt posts. even with frontpage doing the dirty work its a pain. i'm about 20% through the 2000-2001 hunt archive.

There is way so many interesting threads around here that it's easy to get lost. I don't think I'll ever get everything read.

Time to hit the sheets here.

Goodnight, SCDs and MCL!

i've not heard back from him. i've simply decided to say screw it, and go it solo with the posts. besides, they probably don't like most of us anyway (myself included), considering how we've been promoting using this site instead of theirs over there :)

thanks for the munchies, ath.

A lot of us made the PPWC as popular as it was because of our personalities and lively discussions at times. It is sorely worse now. I will truely miss posting with some of the people that used to post there. In my opinion we had a very diverse group there.

Yep Ares, it's all downhill from here, now that you'll be the big two-five. One bonus, your car insurance rates usually go down. Maybe not for that Mustang tho...

Wed, 03/20/2002 - 8:25 AM Permalink
ares

the insurance on the tempo goes down. the insurance on the mustang (which at the moment is actually less than the insurance on the tempo) won't change. when my agent pushed the paperwork through almost 2 years ago they pushed it through as though i were over 25. now a person with a conscience would have called them up and pointed out their error. however, since they know full well i'm under 25 as that's how they've got me rated on my tempo, i figure i've been absolved of any responsibility due to it.

ares,

Here's one more vote for putting the pressure on them to give up the files. I'd call them if I were you. Reasons:

-it will save you time.
-It will make the discussions be imported parts of this site, as opposed to static HTML pages
-they (PP) have nothing to gain by not letting you have the files, unless they have plans to make use of them somehow, which is highly unlikely.
-you can't always get what you want-- but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need.

P.S. - 25 is a great age. The dawn of adulthood, in my book. Or, at least, in my magazine. Or, maybe, just in my, pamphlet, or, my flyer.

Yes, note the plural. Ever have a three year old spend the night at your house with your three year old? The mischief, disobedience, unwillingness to go to bed, etc.? It's like that at my house every day.
