Ok boys and girls *rolls up her sleeves* I got something to add to this whole Jake thing... and here it goes:
First off I want to start by saying that I met Jake a few times last year, and he was nothing but nice to me, therefore I have no beef with him. I wasn't around when all of the drama with other people went on, so I really don't know what went on with who, nor do I care.
Second, if you're going to talk trash about anyone, and this goes for everyone, why do it over the internet?? Be an adult, do it face to face. If you're that chicken sheet to talk smack to someone's face.. then don't say anything at all. I'm sure your mother's all drilled the saying "if ya can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I know my mom did.
Third, there's no reason why we all can't just get along. What happened happened, what was said was said. Yeah, people got pissed off, but ya know what, why dwell on it? Why not just let by gones be by gones and be done with it? What ever happened to sticks and stones? Ya know?? I read some of these posts and it reminds me of being back in elementry school again on the playground. We're all adults here, it's pretty sad when kids are more mature than some of the adults are.
And finally, I try to get along with everyone. There's some new people to the site that I'm looking forward to meeting, and of course all of the veteran coolerheads, let's try and keep this a peaceful and drama free hunt this year huh? I know we all can do it. Thanks for letting me vent and rant guys.. and I can't wait to see you all on Saturday!!
My daughter just called me and she had stopped her after work to pick up some curtains I made for her today. She left here half an hour ago and is just now turning onto the ramp to get onto 494 off of Hardman to go across the Wakota Bridge! That's about a mile and a half from my house! And she still has to wait to get to the end of that long ramp and on to the bridge.
I don't remember what thread it was in, but CM asked a question about the most memorable hunt or something like that. I was talking to my daughter about that and she reminded me of the time I packed them all up and we went to Town Square Park to hunt for the medallion! LOL The clues all fit!!Â
For those of you who don't remember, Town Square Park was a city park inside a shopping complex in downtown St. Paul. So it fit the criteria.
Just because it's winter doesn't mean you're safe from allergic reactions to poison ivy, oak or sumac.
Urushiol, the oil from the plants that causes reactions, is present year-round and can be found on logs, plant roots, stems, leaves and berries. Here are some tips for avoiding an outbreak from the makers of Zanfel Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac Wash:
• Wear thick gloves when gathering wood, leaves or branches. Urushiol can penetrate rubber gloves.
• Wear heavy clothing, including long pants, long sleeves and enclosed footwear, for outdoor activities such as hiking and sledding.
• Pets can carry urushiol into the house. Watch where they wander.
• Urushiol turns black when exposed to air, so avoid plants with black areas.
• After venturing outdoors, wash gloves, clothing, shoes and other items that might have been exposed.
I'll go later...just not sure when.....maybe 930ish....ha.
Can't do Buggs tonight. I'm working...

It's really great to get all this snow just before the hunt!
It's either jake or one of his buddies, just ignore him, sooner or later he'll just go away. he does it cuz he gets attention from it.

And after you have enough of getting smarter, you usually start hitting on something like this:
my eyes are burning....
Neck is down at Buggs
[Edited by on Jan 21, 2005 at 05:17pm.]
maybe you do. I don't.
I have decided to put that whole crew on my ignore list they have nothing to say anyway.
A-Hole :-)
[Edited by on Jan 21, 2005 at 07:42pm.]
Does that include putting yourself on your ignore list?
