JESUS CHRIST...what a long terrible slog that was. sorry for the blasphemy for those who would be offended.
AW...that was an eloquent and extremely well put post a ways back. I spoke to Jake for almost 3 hours 2 days ago (yes that was me he alluded to in one of his posts) and made all of those points to him. Apparenly, all of this drama comes out of our gross misunderstanding of him as a person. Seriously, reading your post was like re-reading my instant messages to him, only you were a little more tactful, my instant messages involved swearing. What can I say, I have no class. But aside from that...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
ANYWAY...drama sucks. Seriously. We're all sitting here and bullshitting and then along comes all of this "you don't understand me and why don't you kick me out and I'm just a tortured soul" BS. That's crap. Just be part of the damn conversation and quit intentionally stirring stuff up. I hate it. If you want to play drama queen, go start a blog and leave it out of the forum. I'd rather see Kitch's and OTS's google images and the occassional witty quip by THX or anybody else. That's what I come here for. And I'll say anything to anybody's face and anyone who knows me knows that's the damn truth. I think that goes for everyone here actually, we're all pretty upstanding and independent people. But I don't want the PDG to be a bunch of drama junk. I want to sit and drink and read Map Guy's book for misspellings and have fun.
Jake, I'm sure you'll be reading this. People are not that complicated. I don't think any of us in the cooler crew have a really DEEP understand of each other, we all come together in the common activity of digging for a puck and it's fun. That's all it has to be. You don't have to say or do anything else besides BS with us about whatever we happen to be talking about. That's all. It's that simple. Enjoy the fun. Quit trying to be all deep and emotional. It sucks. Lighten up. We can be friends with each other without having this cosmic connection...I think we all know that.
And one last thing...about the THX sucks vs. Jake sucks t-shirt comment...I don't have any t-shirts but I do have this window cling material sitting next to me...
Here's something to read! I just finished my artist's bio for the winter carnival art exhibit...it's not the greatest because I hate writing in the third person, but it's good enough I think....
Giesla Hoelscher is a visual digital artist from Roseville, MN with a love and respect for historic and popular landmarks, establishments and events of Minnesota and the surrounding areas. Out of that love comes collages in which depth and interest are created by blending and layering digital photographs in Adobe Photoshop. A six-time medallion hunter and a member of the medallion hunting group the Cooler Crew, she wanted to express the fun, excitement, and legend of the Winter Carnival with a collage that could be enjoyed by devoted Carnival participants and casual Carnival goers alike. Usually strictly participating in the medallion hunt in previous years, the 2004 Winter Carnival was the first year she went to almost all of the events to document them for the collage and it was a wonderful experience that she hopes comes through in the artwork.
okay...here it is...I hate writing in third person.......

it's an artist's bio...it's about the artist. if I write "i" people might say, well who's "i?" if there isn't any other information about me by the artwork. Think of book jackets and the about the author statement...it's usually written in third person.
:::dig dig dig::: okay it's clear. now just be careful of the hot coffee, the cellophane on the fruit rollups and the plastic bag around your newspaper.
All you need to do to get any or all the gems is to decipher clues in the book "A Treasure's Trove." The clues lead to a dozen 18-karat gold tokens. Author Michael Stadther, who hid each of the tokens himself, promises that they are all in public places where they can be easily accessed without digging, moving or disturbing objects or structures.
We had thought of going but Paula wants to go with us and she can't make it today. We can discuss it further at Grandpa's. Will it ever be available on CD?
Yes it will be coming out on DVD sometime later this year hopefully, and yes I"ll be going to McGoverns later, we'll talk about this over some chow mein.
Anyone going to the early movie today? Or are people planning on going to the second show? I think I gotta go to the early one cause I gotta pick up the ol' Mrs. at 5pm in downtown Stpl.
THX what a nice thing to say just for that I am going to eat scribes cake =p

I might tweak it some, but that's pretty much it...it's a combo of my artist's statement and a description of the artwork
it's an artist's bio...it's about the artist. if I write "i" people might say, well who's "i?" if there isn't any other information about me by the artwork. Think of book jackets and the about the author statement...it's usually written in third person.
Be careful leaving that snow..... In this day and age ...lawsuit.....

I'd be happy to split a pot that large with you guys.
Too bad JT, you get one that says "THX1138 Sucks".
Cool, that's what I want.
I know, but I thought it'd be funny to say since some people might not knwo that. Trent's supposed to be on KARE 11 soon.
Hey, don't be seducing my nephew on the internet, wait at least until the middle of Lake failin!
Jim are you thinking about going to the movie after grandpas birthday?
We had thought of going but Paula wants to go with us and she can't make it today. We can discuss it further at Grandpa's. Will it ever be available on CD?
I suppose you'll be going to McGovern's tonight too? This living in Wisconsin sucks sometimes!
Yes it will be coming out on DVD sometime later this year hopefully, and yes I"ll be going to McGoverns later, we'll talk about this over some chow mein.
I pre-read one of the fortune cookies and it said "this is the year!"
Anyone going to the early movie today? Or are people planning on going to the second show? I think I gotta go to the early one cause I gotta pick up the ol' Mrs. at 5pm in downtown Stpl.
