My son lives a couple of blocks from there. I just sent him an email to go check it out. Too funny!

Speaking of permits. I just realized my permit to build a fence just ran out. But the good news is, the rude neighbors who were the reason for the fence moved out last week. :smile:

he was in the woods all day and was thirsty and HUNGRY (I took him a can of food about mid-day and he chowed down the whole can without stopping!). A really gentle kitty but just hiding in the woods ALL day long. He was on the thin side, so I hope I didn't take anyone's pet...I just couldn't leave him, knowing that he was hungry and thirsty and maybe didn't have a home...

I am hoping that is protocol because I forgot to specifically ask. The vet tech is a good friend of my son's and knows that I found the cat, so hopefully he will check for a chip. At any rate, the cat is getting neutered and front-declawed today...also testing for any disease and getting his shots. It can't be all bad, even if an owner materializes. (until they sue me, of course, for altering their cat!) :chagrin:

if they don't - just call a shelter. Tell them you 'inherited' the cat, and want to have it scanned, so you can update the microchip - should there be one.

They are more than glad to take kitty, and wand them. Also the wands at the shelters are more sensitive. My dogs barely scan at the vet, but they scan at the shelter. (I had them checked so I could update their chips when I moved)
