Basically the PT is like a smushed station wagon. The sight lines for me are great (Kitch is right, I don't think I'd be comfortable in a Neon). From my experience, people either really like PTs or don't, there's no in between. Me, I really like it. Maddog, I usually try to not back up over anyone, but I've never had a problem seeing out of the back windows.
hum..............................
Can't wait to see you again, when you comin out again?
HUGS !!!!!!!
I liked it.

Jennifer (our daughter), Brian (her husband, and Emma (their daughter, 6 yrs.) were in a horrific automobile accident on Monday, July 14th. They were enroute home from our cabin in Hackensack when the accident occurred on I-94 at the bridge over the Crow River, west of Rogers, MN.
Traffic was heavy......all were doing the speed limit of 70MPH (except, in the kidsÂ’ opinion, the trucker)......when an accident happened a few miles in front of them. Everyone slowed down......and stopped......Brian, driving, was not tailgating so he was able to stop their Dodge Magnum behind a jeep in the outside lane next to the restraining wall......when all of a sudden, a Dodge Durango (SUV) plowed into the rear of them at a violent speed......it shoved them into the jeep in front and caused major damage front and back to the Magnum. AT THE SAME TIME......a Chevy Suburban......in the lane next to them......was hit in the rear by a trailing semi-tractor tanker (empty, thank God)......and the Suburban was lifted up and onto the kids Magnum...... while the truck was ripping out the entire right hand side of the Magnum. When it was all stopped, the left hand fuel tank of the truck tractor was right by Jennifer in the passenger seat.
People stopped and started to help them immediately. Some young man had a policemanÂ’s wand that he broke the window by BrianÂ’s side......Emma was handed out.......Jen was helped out.....and Brian was helped out. Police, firemen, EMTÂ’s, and others had them out, into an ambulance and at the hospital in less than 1.5 hours.
At this point, Jen had a huge laceration of her upper right forearm, cuts on her left knee and bruises on her right knee.....Brian hurt his eye and his arms and hands were bruised by holding onto the steering wheel......and poor Emma somehow managed to hit her mouth on something (even though she was in a proper seat and buckled in)......and broke the small end of her lower jaw bone (near the socket), lost 5 baby teeth, and lacerated her lower left lip.
HereÂ’s the latest on their condition......itÂ’s unbelievable, remarkable, Heaven sent, wrenching......whatever adjective you want to use will be correct.
Emma.......her jaw has been wired shut for 2 weeks to start the healing process in the jaw properly......sheÂ’ll be on liquids for now and soft foods for a while after the 2 weeks......her baby teeth are no problem, but she has to see a pediatric dentist to see if thereÂ’s any long term care required......and the laceration has been stitched. SheÂ’s got some bruises......but theyÂ’re beautiful.
Jen......she had surgery Monday night.......a “bunch” of stitches on her arm......more cosmetic surgery will probably be needed.
Her LH knee has 5 or 6 stitches. Her RH knee will have an MRI next week to see if itÂ’s just sore or if thereÂ’s something wrong.
She has limited use of her right hand, but it gets better every day.......no long term problems are expected. She, too, has bruises and aches......but what a pretty site they are......those belts are tough......and they work.
Brian......other than feeling bad that he couldnÂ’t do more to get them out of the situation (which was not his doing), heÂ’s come through the episode with aches in his arms and hands.......a red eye from hitting it on something and causing the white of the eye to bleed internally (he can see fine)......and his share of bruises and other aches. Something else.
When you see the attached pictures, you wonÂ’t believe that theyÂ’re still alive. I didnÂ’t have any tears until I saw the Magnum. We had tears before I wrote this. Dee and I cried after proofreading this. Tears of relief. Tears of joy. Tears that came from the gut. ItÂ’s just unbelievable.
Here are some notes and thoughts that I feel I must make before I describe the pictures and sign off.
The fact that Chrysler built a vehicle to withstand a crash like this is a real testimony to their fantastic engineering skills. It’s my understanding that the Magnum was one of the, if not the first, vehicle to be a combination of Chrysler and Mercedes engineers working together. If that’s the case, BOTH groups should be put on a pedestal. They sure helped God and the kids on June 14th. The “cabin” of the car was, for all intensive purposes, intact. Jen’s seat back had been pushed inward about 6”. The rear seat Emma was in had been pushed forward about 6”. If someone had been sitting in the back seat, their legs might have been hurt.....but they definitely would have been alive. The only word I can say is unbelievable......it’s overused.....but so true.
We......the Eckbergs, Dee and I.......want to thank the unbelievable, caring, wonderful folks whoÂ’ve touched us all......the EMTÂ’s......the police.....the firemen......the nurses......the doctors......the lab folks.....the technicians....the unbelievable friends & neighbors ......the kids......the calls from EVERYWHERE......the u
No kidding! Wow
I'd like to do some more lens filter photos again, but these new digitals aren't really designed for using those old 35mm lens filters.
