Some women do not appreciate being called a "chick"
For that reason, I usually will not assume it's OK. In the beginning, to be eligible, a "chick" was generally someone who was posting daily.
I don't think that is really a "requirement" Self-nomination is allowed: e-gram me if I have not asked. Please.
where were you Ian? In my mind I am picturing Lilydale near Pickerel and the tressels-but thats because I have found a new love for that area lately and can't seam to get it off my mind.
I was actually thinking about walking across Pickerel today...then it snowed :(
The river on the other hand, yesterday morning, was breathtaking, with the fog mist up to the train tressels and the ice sheets moving down river.
reminds me of "my bad fall"...at me2's cache

Ok...FTF on a new hide...and yep its a tricky one for me at least....
I was at the southern end of the park for another cache...
OK then I will take the shortcut just go down the ravine and back up the other side...nbd....
Oh jeez...not a good idea....
Turns out at near the bottom of one side there is a "glacier-like" area forming from all the snow melting and refreezing...is cool but hard as can be to cross...anyways I slipped fell on my side sliding down about 50 feet before I could turn enough to get my feet infront of me...(grab that tree--missed)...then continued to slide about another 50 feet.......
finally came to a stop....oh that hurts...hmmm nothing broken....but where's my GPS???? great way up the hill I see it....
I gotta climb up that to get it??? Hmmm OK but I don't like it.....finally after 10 mins. going a safe way got my GPS back....now I gotta climb back up a muddy hill to the cache spot.....
GOT it signed log book..TNLN.....
hmm more mud to climb up to get outta here....OK but was tricky...oh stop 2 sec. to suck some wind...and take a look at the great view...oh and pray to god that he was nice not to let me die today.....
nice cache location...just my dumb self needs to learn that short cuts are not always the best idea.....

all 3 Cooler Crew Chicks caches are approved, and listed. They're back-dated a year, to hide them a bit, but the FTF maniacs know my trick.
Good Luck.
My CITO at Crosby is approved too. Party.
Better hurry, K T's leaving soon.
I was wondering where those were
Might have to change my plans for the day??

Way ta go Clucky!!
Neat, Mucluck! How long did it take you to do that?
Oh.
Ah, what I meant was... How long did it take you to do 150?
But... So, 45 mins. That average/short/long for trying to find a cache?
This is the FYI...
I GOT MY GPSr!!! I got a Legend, and pick it up tomorrow nite!!!!
WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!Â
Whoa! You've got one! Cooler! A vetran with 150 caches has the same GPSr! I feel like I did something right!
Man. Only 6 months? You must do this alot and cover a lot of ground. Cryminently. Doubt I'll have 75 in six months. But ittiz not a race... But... Still fun to see the numbers pile up! Will be neat when I hit 150.
How long did it take you to do that?
I was there about 45 minutes
I found thre caches in 45 mins today...that's kind of quick they are not usually that colse togather...and I walk fast. did just over a mile, i think.
I started caching in August so that's.........6 months to 150
Green - you will like the legend, that's what I got for Xmas i like it
green - I've been geo-caching for a number of years and maybe only have 50-75 under my belt. It's all up to you on your own pace. Don't look to these crazys as a thermometer. Although I do see you getting in to it pretty heavy at first. It is way fun.

Question: with no trees or anything to interfere, how come my GPS never really gets much less than a 20ft accuracy? I puposely went to the virtual cache at Como (at you know where) to see how accurate I would be and even there I had only a 15ft accuracy. Does cloudy vs. sunny matter? Should I have WAAS on or off?
Garcia: WAAS isn't terribly useful this far north
Garcia: But I leave it on
Garcia: My gps will give 8 ft accuracy
Garcia: Especially on lakes and highways
At times I've been with in 8-10 feet.
The rule Kitch and Mucluck gave me was get to within 25-40 feet and use your eyes.
Those coordinates were from three years ago, and my old GPSr only went to two decimal points. So the end digits could be from 0-9
I don't use my WAAS....not good this far north and...
it sucks batteries..
You also have to consider that the coordinates given have a accuracy factor as well.Â
I find that once within 30 feet it's a matter of looking for probable hiding spots. Except when near the bluffs then in my experience its a crap shoot, they make the signals all goofy. I've watched my GPSr tell me to go form 40 ft one way and move to 40 the other, all while I was standing still. Like trying to find a moving target, funny as hell but frustrating.
Okay, thanks. Then what mine is doing is normal. And, I won't use WAAS.
Question: In one of the caches today, there was a Laker thing. I didn't know what to do with it, so I didn't take it. I thought, perhaps, it was a move around the state sort of travel bug. Is it? Where can I find more about them? Thanks.
Okay, I understand it now - glad I didn't take it.
go to http://www.mngca.org/ to learn about the Lakers game it's a local thing. I know nothing about it other than it exists.
Â
Glad I've got this place:
Note to self, "Self, don't take any Lakers thighys you find as ittiz some kind'a game you've no conception of."
BRB... Gotta take my WAAS off.
HA! I'm one fart smeller, I R! :D Had already diabled WAAS - not knowing anything about nuttin'. Cooler.
Â
Gotta take my WAAS off.
Is that before, or after, your undies?
WAAS you talkin' about?
WAAS "undies"???
gulp!
:D
I think I have removed the "members-only_ access from all the Cooler Crew Chicks caches now, except mucluck's. It's in the area that the Cache Terrorists like to hit.
ooooo
The Chicks made the Big-Time !
