How's the neighborhood OT? I've stopped by a couple of times to access our computer. My husband stops by several times a week to take care of things. I kind of miss being so close to everything.
Tater, not much new in the neighborhood. Mr. Patton's still crabby and the ambulances still make their daily runs.
They're holding a neighborhood meeting this Friday on the future of Grandview Park. Any suggestions? I think the park could use a few trees.
As I'm typing this I'm remembering the park from when I was a little girl and attended St. Augustine's School across the street. At the end of the school year the whole school would have a picnic over there and I remember playing kick ball with the nuns and how cute they looked when they kicked the ball and held up their long skirts to run the bases.
That's sweet. I assume it's a song? I have to validate my windows to watch/listen and I can't validate because........well, just because.
lol that's okay. One of my friends is about the worst I can imagine at that stuff, and I can imagine alot.
But it's a good reason for me to try and choose Open Source software whenever I can. Of course that stuff is pretty intimidating to most people, and I even have troubles learning to use it.
I think I saw a Cedar waxwing the other day. I first thought it was an female cardinal, but it didn't look right. I didn't have time to look it up in my bird book. When we first moved in to our new place I only saw 2-3 different types of birds. Since then I've hung up 4 seed feeders and 6 suet feeders and so far I've seen:
Cardinals (we have tons of them)
chicadees
yellow finches
bluejays
thrashers
crows
downy woodpecker
purple finch
robin
nut hatch
eastern bluebird
field sparrow
dark eyed junco
red wing blackbird
chukar
grouse
..and on one occasion I saw 2 PILEATED WOODPECKERS at my suet feeder. Very rare to see those.
Wild animals so far:
I've seen a coyote 4 times now in our yard. The dog chased it 3 times. Once I heard a whole pack of them yipping.
During the winter we had a herd of 4 deer coming through the yard daily.
Foxes, rabbit, raccoon, possum, surprisenly only 1 or 2 squirrels.
I was just thinking that the other day where is she at!!!!!!!!! is she ok!!!!!!!!! what is she doing????? did she go on a vacation and I missed that post!!!!!!!!!
ll and nt are up north -they do it every summer- if you want them than you just show up where they are or go to his gigs- I'll be doing both soon I hope. I bet she's got a real nice tan too! :sheepish:
Kitch should drive by OT's house on his way home from work or I'll have Becks do it when she geets back in town. If I knew where she lived Id do it! Kitch where does she live?
Thanks Terry. And I'm glad to be back. It was strange not to be able to keep in touch, but my garden looks like a million bucks! It's amazing how much you can get done when you are forced away from the internet.
Me2, I really hated not being able to read about Santa Dave's funeral, etc. at the time. Sounds like a good showing by the CC. I'm sorry I missed the event on the 19th.
Now that's all you'll see too. Heh
