I still leave the doors unlocked at night too, but I didn't see you standing in my foyer.
I still haven't caught up on all the posts I missed while I was off-line. Let me know if I missed anything important because I'm about to hit "mark as read".
And thank you all for the Happy Birthday wishes! I had a great day even though I had to share it with all the Daddy's. :eyeroll:
So I'm off to the ballfields to watch my kids play in the Kaposia Days softball tournament. Then tonight I'm going down to the VFW street dance with some of my high school class mates to celebrate the All School Reunion.
Oh, and the teacher I've had a crush on since he taught me chemistry was the grand marshal in the parade last night! I got a big wave from him, so all is right with the world. :pbpt:
I came home for a break before the next game. One of my daughters gave me a flat of fresh picked strawberries and I need to clean them and start making preserves. Too much to do this weekend.
Yep, my Sweetie (Da Yooper) went to see the big twine ball. His best friend from high school (Don) had always wanted to see it, but Don's wife thought it was stupid, so Da Yooper and Don did a weekend motorcycle trip (1000 miles round trip) for the sole purpose of seeing the twine ball.
OT, did Doug tell you that he was able to fix my sink? I still don't know what the water pressure problem was as it resolved on its own within a day or so...but he did pull a nasty clog out of the plumbing that was actually beyond the drain trap. Nice guy, your son. I have been sick so I wasn't able to converse with him much...I went back to lying on the couch. Thanks for helping me out! Maybe I can return the favor someday, somehow...
He did. I'm glad he was able to help. I know what it's like to have a house maintenance problem and not know how to fix it myself. That's when I turn to Doug. He's my go-to-guy. Even as a young man he was my mother's guy too. Nice to have one of those.
While I'm in here I have a request. CM, if you're reading this could you put my avatar on the top of this page for me please? I don't look too much like the old coot up top (at least I hope not!)
My avatar is a print I bought to hang in my kitchen, of all places. That's me and my old camper and my kitty and an old dog we used to have who loved the lake too. It's kind of wanky in the avatar though, because of size limitations, so here's the original with the correct dimensions, if you would be so kind.
I tried this, but the skin shades available - anemic or bilious - didn't look right on me. Had to laugh at the clothing choices, though - why do they think that everyone loves "menopause mauve"?
I knew you were OK. You still leave your shades open at night.
DOH!
