I took Personal Typing in high school and there were only two electric typewriters in the whole class. I was assigned to one of them. :smile: I could type like a banshee, but couldn't test to save my life. Cracked under pressure. So my teacher would let me test after school when there weren't other people around. Can't say I ever had a job where speed was essential anyway. But I was accurate! :sillygrin:
True story. My father advised me to take the Civil Service test. So I went down and tested, including the typing test. After I had finished the test I looked down at my paper and realized I had typed the whole thing with one of my hands on the wrong keys! :chagrin: So I turned in my test and kind of slunk out of the room. A couple of weeks later I got a postcard telling me I had passed the test with a list of positions they had open! :eek:
HAHAH!! I figured it out not too long ago. I played the Accordian for about 8 years competitively. That is what allows me to type so fast. You think I type fast.......I talk EVEN faster :sillygrin:
