GCCD6B Lilydale GCCD68 Levee GCCD66 Brickyard Could you please un-archive these caches? They are near the event, and meet the distance requirement. I will replace them, if approved.
Several people have purchased GPSr's or have them ordered, and are waiting for an event. I have a half dozen MnGCA members volunteering to assist.
He ought to approve it, it's strictly geocaching I think...
What is the location anyways? I'm guessing Harriet or Cherokee from the caches listed.
BTW Deadlock victim is still disabled (I'm not sure if 15Tango will ever get it back up). I can take people down to the final location if they want to see it, I'm pretty sure the cache is gone down river though.
Excellent, hoping this one gets approved, I'll plan on being there.. Hopefully it starts in the afternoon though, or else I'll plan to be a tad late.
There was a teasing (?) tempting (!) approver note on the page, immediately deleted. He knew I'd get the e-mail. We MAY (finally) have a national visitor to one of our events: personally delivering my Travel Bug, from Georgia.
Could it be, the man himself? Here? Well even on that rumor I definately haveta go. I posted a note on the page, there's a letterbox located on harriet as well.
BTW I'm outta here for a week and a half, headed out to Cali and then taking a road trip back through the southwest, and yes, I'll be caching along the way. Don't post too much, I don't want to come back to a few thousand posts to slog.
Around St. Paul: Bird's-eye view on the riverfront Joe Kimball Star Tribune Published March 4, 2005
More bald eagles are roosting on the Mississippi River near downtown St. Paul than river folks can ever recall.
Houseboat resident Anne Hunt saw a dozen perched early Wednesday in the area between the dock for the Padelford excursion boats and the University of Minnesota's Centennial Showboat. In other years, the most she has seen was five or six at a time.
Eagle watchers often head farther south on the river to Wabasha or Winona to see convocations of the big birds during their migration. The increasing number in St. Paul highlights the river's improving health, Hunt said.
Jim Kosmo of the Padelford fleet saw 11 eagles perched in a cottonwood tree near his office one day, and then 14 in the area the next. "Madeline, the office cat, is afraid to go outside" he said.
That would be nice, Kitch. I was going to ask if you'd help me - you were so nice last year. Think we can dispense with the hills this year? Remember, my knees are getting old! :D Or are you offering so you can cabbage on to my food cache?!!
I read somewhere you've got a 60C. COOLER! The caches? Do we get to put stuff in them, or izzit just like for 'scent dog' purposes? You know, to just have us something to get to?
Hope ittiz kind'a warm... I remember you guys freezing when The Med was last at CoNo and we thought it Harriet.
I withdrew the request. There's a reason they disappeared. Crappy locations. I went to put out replacement caches, and found no good spots. I may use the areas for temps though. I'll look tomorrow.
Ahh, makes sense. Would love to see a cache again on Raspberry Island though, but there's not much to work with out there, only way I could see having one is having a micro.
You know it!

Scribbles and I plan to be there. Along with the boys if it's our weekend. They love using the GPS.

WOW!! I didn't know you had that planned. Enjoy the US brotha. Man, what I'd give to do that right about now. I envy you Joel.
Yeah, sorta a spur of the moment deal, the opportunity came up and I decided to go with it.
Since Geocaching.com has this new feature, I made use of it. Here's the list of caches I got for the trip, maxed it out at 100.

I'll be happy if I get 1 per state though, but it looks like there's a few fun ones to do anyway.
Korn's name is Joel? You learn something new every day.
