I thought about asking how you get the passes, but I seldom go to movies anyway. ET was the last movie I went to at a theater, and that was a drive-in. Didn't even see the end of it because one of the daughters threw up. :eyeroll:
Exciting news you guys!! my favorite (local) band Five AM is doing a live spot tomorrow, and it's getting streamed via the internet. So ya'll can have a listen! Below is the details!
No matter where you are in the WORLD you can hear us TOMORROW NIGHT from 8:00-8:30 p.m. pacific time. We got TONS of emails from all across the globe asking when we're coming to your town soooo...
Go to http://www.krsh.com/ and listen to the band tomorrow night! There's a button where you can click and listen. It's going to be a real treat as we have some brand new songs you'll get to hear first.
If you make it over to Finland, have a Grande el Maco for me! Or if you get down to Hungary, I'd love a Sertes McFarm. Mmmmm, just the sound of it makes me hungary!
This bank discussion reminds me that I never shared my nightmare with BRICKWELL BANK in Woodbury. I'm capitalizing the bank's name so you don't forget it.
I took out a loan there early this summer to purchase my new camper. My first payment for July was applied to the wrong account and it was like pulling teeth to convince them I had actually sent them a check. Eventually they figured that out.
Then, my August payment came up missing! Seriously! It never cleared my bank, but I remembered paying it the Friday before we went on our family vacation. I physically took it and several other payments directly to the post office and handed them to the person behind the counter. I always do that. I pay any bills that are due that month before I leave on vacation. They said it must have "gotten lost in the mail", because they are very careful with their mail. So I sent them another check.
So I decided to go the automatic withdrawal route. I went to their bank and filled out the forms and figured this nightmare was over. Guess what? I started looking at my bank account on Sept. 1st to see if it had been taken out. Kept looking for 10 days. Still not taken out and it was supposed to come out on the 1st. So I called. They had no record of me applying for this method of payment. They couldn't find anything in my file and the person who had helped me with it was out due to a death in the family. So I sent them a check. This little detail of them losing my application, made me question how diligent they are with their paper work (my missing check) and I told them so.
It looks like my October payment must have been received and applied correctly, but I'm still half expecting a nasty letter saying my 15 day grace period is up for that payment.
I stopped there last Thursday and filled out the application for the auto withdrawal again. We'll see how that goes.
Do not do business with BRICKWELL BANK!! They're idiots! Somehow I don't believe I'm their only customer who has had trouble with them. What would be the chances of that?? I'd take my loan out of their in a heart beat, but can't find an interest rate that touches it and it's all about interest rates. :eyeroll:
Thanks for the hug. I needed that.....I think. :worried:
Brickwell Bank is off of Radio Drive in Woodbury. A guy who plays softball with my sons worked there and I got the loan through him. I'm paying just over 5% interest on this loan and TRYING to pay it off early. This friend doesn't work there any longer and I tell him, good move!
I think the fact that they've never apologized for the inconvenience this is causing is as disturbing as anything. I had to take my check book register in to convince them I had actually paid the August payment in good faith that it would actually get to them! And I made them go back and fix their records so it didn't look like I had been late in paying those first three payments.
That is awesome! I know a couple of aurora enthusiasts from BC. I wonder if it was one of them - though I didn't see that anyone had linked from the aurora forum from where I know them.
Kids - I love the photo of you and Coco. May you both be happy together the rest of your lives.
Stay true to each other, never keep anything from each other and take those vows seriously. I believe that's the secret to a long, happy marriage.
I think we're almost recovered from getting our daughter moved out of here. She has some guardian angel watching over her.
When she first went out to San Diego to get her living arrangements made, she noticed an ad in the paper for a position at the college she's attending there. She applied, got called for an interview to happen after she got out there, and has now landed that job.
The big result of that is being an employee of that college, her masters will be paid for 100%!! And that's on top of the paycheck!!!
She loves San Diego and is settling in well.
We miss her though. Good thing she'll be home for Christmas.
We take the vows very seriously. Yesterday was our 1 month anniversary, and Coco made dinner and brought home goodies as part of a birthday & 1 month anniversary celebration. We are happy together and we're working each day to keep that. We're planning our life, our family, and enjoying it all. Thank you for your words of wisdom, I hope that we can have as long and as happy a marriage (and beyond) as you and Inks.
ok, for anyone who's interested in seeing gordy's band, they are playing this weekend, friday and saturday night at JJ's in north branch (old hwy 61 and ash st) 9:00pm.
I spend too much time south of the cities... If I look north when the lights are supposed to be in good view, all I can see is the lights of St Paul... Or my neighbor changing... Either way, I'd rather see the Northern Lights.
say y'all. say a prayer for tc and the girls. we just found out that her grandma passed away very suddenly yesterday morning. sucks that we're over here. had to tell the girls over the phone :frown:
I "For clues No. 1 through 4, no one has a hope," dares Julie Stein, director of the Burke Museum by day and assistant clue-writer by night. "After that, it gets a little easier. A little."
THAT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE A CHALLANGE...,,I WISH I LIVED CLOSER...I'D TAKE THAT DARE...
I played that mosquito ringtone for the kid last night and had her turn her back so she didn't know when I turned it up and she yelled at me each time and said that it hurt her ears. I couldn't hear a thing. But then again, I can't hear most faint things anyway. One too many concerts I'm guessing.
either that or all the nagging I've gotten over the years. :eyeroll:
does anyone have the presale password for Motley Crue and Aerosmith? by chance did you get it in an e-mail? I got the e-mail for tomorrows sale but not pre.
Dang it!!!!! I don't have anyone to go out there and visit anymore :frown:
Probably for the best though, that city is larger than the twin cities combined (and to the best of my memory, no, I'm not joking) and I'd have a major disadvantage of not knowing the area like the locals.
Still, if I was retired, I'd be all over these hunts.

Carry on. My rant is over. :pbpt:
Here is a big hug for you, until things smooth out.

i've got a bunch of pictures that tc took of the city here yesterday that i'll be posting throughout my morning (your night). so stay tuned.
I can't hear a thing....but they could...
its the "ringtone" that kids can hear but their parents can't hear.....its insane...
I turned it on and off and katie knew when I started it or stopped it.....

That is the wierest thing ever!!!!!
the Little "V" – Big "I", as half of the first tree sheered off in a storm. They were down to 2½ trees.
there was only one tree remaining.
I would now call it the "big one", if indeed there is still that little bit left.
and our "big one" would be the red 1st bank
nice find cm
congrats inks and Terry! she has an awesome spirit
High frequency stuff like that isn't good for you anyways. Just because you can't "hear" it doesn't mean it doesn't effect you.
Some people believe high frequency noise attributes to some reported house hauntings or paranormal activity. At least that's what I'd heard.
