The way I understand it is that Diamond doesn't even own the land. The Gillette Company leased the land from the railroad with a 99 year lease. They built the building. If the building is gone then the railroad owns the land.

hmmmmmm, when is the 99 years up?

and after all that time I wonder where that paperwork was kept and how someone knew about it. Thats just wierd to me. Who contracts out that long?

the building was built in 1965 or 66 I think. Who knows for sure. Our company don't tell us nothin'. Could be all rumor too, I don't know.

Word from my end is...(I work at the downtown Post Office, and part of our docks run under the old depot concourse) Saint Paul has wanted that area for YEARS. Well they are finally getting it cuz the city just worked out a deal with the USPS and the main processing center is moving to Eagan. 3-4 years ago they said it was a possible Twins Stadium site, now they say they want it to be a transit hub with future light rail, train, and bus station. They also want to develop the riverfont.

I just hate how the crowds have gotten over the past couple of years at concerts... it used to be where there was the crazy people slam dancing and roughing eachother up...... and being considered "hardcore".... and then there was the people that just were there to watch... and once in a while jumped around and mostly tried to get as physically close to the stage as possible.....

now it seems like all there is.....is people there just to cause trouble.....by starting fights with anyone "just because"....and a buncha guys that decide to bring their chicks with them and all they do is spend their time shoving anyone/everyone away from them...... even if your not going near them..... and are just trying to get the hell outta the "pit" because you've just been kicked in the lip by a body surfer and are bleeding all over the place

the lip is okay.... no stiches needed....

damn- where were you at?

didn't see you last night

we started out in about 3-4th row on the floor with short people in front of us- PERFECT!

Poor Penny had "Hairy" and his drunken girlfriend (both 6 feet tall-amazon) push there way in front of her and then ended up next to her swishing their MONSTERhair (see pic thread later) in her face while making out and dirty dancing. I got into it with him briefly and he moved to her side instead of in front of her. Then somehow another tall guy ended up in front of us- how do they sneak up like that?

I heard, but somehow missed amazonwoman sharing her boobies with the crowd and band - that woulda been cool to see -

They wouldn't look my way after I started talking loud about them and taking pictures -hahahaha my passive aggressiveness coming out...they dissappeared after the first hour.

We had a great time cept for the sound problems :frown: It was one of the reasons I went to this concert...and to hear 1 song! Between the Myth and Queensryche supposedly there was 1 million dollars put into the sound system!!

Gonna post pixs soon- gotta get my football picks in first-

EXCELLENT CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!!

for the system of a down show, I was all over the place....

for Queensryche, was in front most of the night for that one....the crowd was weak....

sure didnt sound like a million dollar sound system...

I like the Myth.... is just weird seeing it in that "neighborhood" it doesnt fit in....

Yea that club is awsome. They do have to do something with the sound though. I saw the amazon boobies.

you'd think that with all of the "practice" shows they did before the actual opening, they'd have it figured out by now.....

I'm guessing they'll be talking about it tomorrow. Adam is kinda messed up now that security had to take Steve-O away with a busted up foot from kicking in his set coffee table glass. He was supposed to drink a little and do a stunt but things went a bit over the top even for Adam. I've never seen the show before so I don't know if things like this happen all the time or not but it was pretty intense.

I had my first offseason medallion dream last night. In the first dream I was at the spot it was found all day but for some reason couldnt get deep enough into the snow/ice and then some guy shows up and finds it in like 30 seconds ala como in 97. I wasn't mad at all though, for some reason. Also the medallion had a clue for a subsequent hunt written on it, in the new hunt we were looking for a bucket and the prize was $1000. After seeing the guy find it and reading the clue I went to my car where I saw Camo Dan pull up and I went over and told him the story about it being found and the new hunt. Then I woke up and was thinking about the medallion when I fell back asleep so I dreamt about it again, this time finding it... I was so happy it was unreal and the dream was just so real waking up sort of sucked. Oh well, now I know I'm crazy.

Tue, 09/27/2005 - 8:27 AM Permalink

Its all good as long as those other hunters are fully clothed....

naked medallion hunting? thats crazy

I think we're talking about different types of medallion hunts....
Tue, 09/27/2005 - 9:06 AM Permalink

Actually, that's 100% not true. Anybody dreaming that they found the medallion is crazy. Anybody dreaming that the BEAR found the medallion, well, that's just logical.

Just seen the first trailers of this homegrown flick tonight.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395972/

Man that Charlize is HOTTTTTTTT

"This film was powerful, thought provoking, and also showed magnificent beauty even in the most desolate of places and heartbreaking conditions. I rarely ever purchase movies, but this is one I would not only see when it is released in October, I would purchase it as well."
