And following the links to see how you can get what you need doesn't always help either...

"Where do you think that Jason will go now that he needs a new job. I heard from some people that Jason is going to get a job with Lex. What possible reason would Lex hire Jason for. I think that if Lex does hire Jason he will do it for some ulterior motive. maybe that was Lex's idea in the begining when he got jason fired. What do you think?"

ClanaFan2005

"Jason needs to leave Lana and get another job yeah!"

Kalel Ace

"Yes, Jason is a waste of space."

Oh, what a feeling...

Scribe's got a friend that's a Royal Guard member this year.

They seem like good enough guys.

They're just not the Vulcs.

Anyone out here use sniping programs on ebay?

If so, what would you suggest?
Thu, 10/06/2005 - 11:04 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

sniping programs?

Is that so you can get the jump on an item before it ends or something?
Thu, 10/06/2005 - 11:24 AM Permalink
THX 1138

Yeah

I'm not into e-bay, but have been trying to buy a lens for my camera.

Thought I'd give it a try.

I thought the prices were higher there than at retail outlets? Has this changed?
Thu, 10/06/2005 - 11:41 AM Permalink
THX 1138

Most are. I found a couple in the past few days that were priced good, but I still lost out on them.

I still may have lost out if I had a sniping program, but it's worth a try.

The two lenses I bid on went for around $172. I bid $170 on both. They're both worth about $280 retail.

yup. i use bidnip all the time to snipe them. its also handy for those 4am closes that you want, but don't want to wait up for. its relatively cheap, starting at a quarter a piece.

either way, I don't fit the bill, but I think given the choice between the royal guard and the vulcans, I'd have to go the royal guard route.

Honestly though I don't care, I never really got into the winter carnival, I'm mostly in it for the hunt.

like I said, it was more of an if I was forced to choose thing... seriously I was never that into the winter carnival, so the whole deal never quite interested me. Given the vulc's rep lately, I just wouldn't care to be associated with them.

ok, i'm lazy. i admit it. a month ago i checked the box on a powerball form for a single quick pick ticket valid for 8 drawings, and i checked the powerplay option (as i always do). this last wednesday's drawing was the last one that the ticket was good for. i was very pleased when last wednesday, the ticket matched one number plus the powerball for an $8 winner with the powerplay of 2. i checked the numbers for last wednesday, and they pulled the same powerball with a power play of 5. so i've got a $23 winning ticket in my pocket to cash in, buy another $16 in tickets, and pocket $7. woo hoo!

This may sound dumb but....

what is the power play option on a powerball? I haven't bought a powerball in a long time. Does it cost extra? Do you win more? Hows it work?

the power play option costs an extra dollar per play. in exchange, it multiplies your winnings on every prize but the jackpot by 2, 3, 4, or 5 depending on which powerplay multiplier is drawn. http://www.mnlottery.com/powerplay.html
