SYNOPSIS...

A coronal mass ejection impacted the ACE spacecraft near 10:21 UTC on 20
November. This disturbance has produced a strong southward rotation of the
interplanetary magnetic field and is resulting in periods of minor to major
geomagnetic and auroral substorm conditions over the high and upper middle
latitude regions. European regions may be able to spot periods of activity
over the next several hours while these favorable conditions exist. North
American observers will be at the mercy of the IMF, which may (or may not)
remain southward long enough to keep substorming active until darkness falls.
In any event, strong interference from the brightness of the moon will
inhibit middle latitude observations of auroral storm activity. Nevertheless,
middle latitude observations of activity will be possible over the next 6 to
12 hours (with a chance of minor lingering activity thereafter).

oh definitely. i just gotta remember this year to avoid skiing the nite before the pp hunt this year. no, aw, i won't tolerate you guys propping me up in a corner just to have me at mcg's, mostly because drinking and taking advil isn't a good thing usually. the advil bottle says so, and i'm sure 3200 mg and drinking is really really bad.

as for the powerball, in order to win without the powerball you need to match 3 numbers.

i popped 4 of those suckers when i got up that morning, 4 with lunch, 4 before i left for the slopes and 4 after i got back that nite. it goes without saying that i wasn't feeling much of anything that evening. according to the bottle, the maximum dosage of that stuff is 1200mg in 24 hours. now there's always a safety factor of 2 on that stuff, so i don't hesitate to take 2400 without thinking about it. in fact my dad's doctor had him on 2400/day constantly a while ago.

i toldja. i don't mix the 2. so its me on skis and advil or me on skis and booze. not both.

in more interesting news, i spent the evening at casa de icesis where i watched will & grace -- the wedding, burned a couple of cd's for her, yada yada yada. on my way back home, i'm driving east on 94 near dale. coming towards me in the westbound lane was a rather large pile of sparks as a car crashed into the median, nd flipped end for end through the air, high enough that it could have "safely" cleared the median, and thats about a 4-5 foot tall median there. by the time i actually got a hold of the min highway patrol dispatch, i was already at 35e, and after telling the dispatcher that i was reporting an accident on westbound 94, he asked "a rollover". i replied "yup. in the vicinity of dale" he thanked me and hung up. apparently i wasn't the first person to call that one in. no idea if there were any injuries (after seeing the car flip i wouldn't be surprised if there was a doa that came out of there, or an f-code after the paramedics arrived). an interesting evening to say the least.

wow that's a first. i'm looking out my office window towards the intersection of cleveland ave and county rd c. just south of there is a railroad crossing thats tied into the traffic lights at the intersection. i lost count of how many times i've called the railroad because there was a locomotive appraoching the crossing and the crossing lights hadn't been triggered until it was practically on top of the road. it actually provided advance warning of the train today. i'm suitably impressed.

oh yeah. i grew up having a good healthy respect for trains, with both my grandfathers working for the very same railroad that now runs those tracks, or at least its predecessor. i'm quite a train nut, but still, it doesn't take a whole lot to figure out that even a short train weighing only a few hundred tons moving at 2 mph is still gonna ruin your day if it t-bones you at the crossing.

Personally I'm of the opinion that there is such a thing as sexual energy, and if that energy isn't channeled in sexual ways, it usually ends up coming out some other way instead, quite often after being bottled up first and then exploding.

I think it's also kind of like how some homosexuals, before they admitted their homosexuality, were some of the biggest homophobes out there. There's something about themselves that they hate and want to deny, and when they see something that reminds them of that, it touches off that inner conflict all over again and sometimes it manifests as an outer conflict. I suspect, because of their culture and religion, a lot of these Muslims want to try and deny their sexuality because they see it as wrong, and when they see something, like the Miss World Pageant, that stirs those sexual desires, the hatred isn't really directed at the Pageant so much as it is at themselves. But it makes them irrational and they act out against the thing they perceive as touching off that whole inner conflict. It's not something one could otherwise rationally justify.

I know a woman is supposed to save herself for her husband - AW? Can you give me a refresher...where in the Bible does it say we are to cover our faces except for our husband to see?
