My grandpa used to run the old bluff park, I don't know the exact years, but I have had a lot of people ask me if I knew him, and they were kids that participated at the playground.

It is there that he "invented", or came up with the idea of t-ball. But he didn't name it t-ball, and didn't get a patent.

Still a cool story, I think.

Why are you looking for State Fair pictures? I was under the impression that it was no longer public property.

And that looks like Conway snow in the picture. hehe

Actually "Conway" is a measurement of time, not location :-P

say wha?

Thu, 01/09/2003 - 7:15 AM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

I believe he is using "Conway" as an adjective describing the snow as virgin.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM virgin snow (doing best homer simpson impersonation)

Allison Wonderland

"Conway" = 1998 The question after all was "When?", not "Where?"

Thu, 01/09/2003 - 7:18 AM Permalink
ares

ahh. duh.

for technical accuracy, however, conway was 99. chair-o-key was '98. i oughtta remember, too. conway was my first real hunt.

What do you want? It's a little after 8 am. For someone who doesn't have to get up for work, I shouldn't even be awake yet!

By the way, has anyone here ever played a role-playing game called "Vampire: The Masquerade?" I designed a board game version of it and I'm looking for people to help test it out. I have a playtest session scheduled for this Sunday at noon at my place. If anyone is interested, let me know.

i remember hearing about the game way back when i was in high school, but beyond that i can spell it and that's about it.

I hope they run those things like they used to LL. Hopefully there haven't been a bunch of law suits forcing the people there to be totally PC and shit. That will only enable the kid and show that he does have some sort of power.

Boot in the ass is what I say. The old method needs to be brought out when all else fails.
