We are enjoying this summer - busy though.  I always think that summers should be more laid back - but they seldom turn out that way.

Anyone watch court tv the other night? there was a show called Al Roker investigates Katie.com, they gave out a web site where these people go into chat rooms and act like young kids and bust all the pervs that try to get together with them, they plaster the whole conversation, their phone number, address, and pictures of these idiots for all to see, it's great! if you want to check it out it's http://www.perverted-justice.com/there is one guy in there from st paul, he lives at 410 Fry st, so if you live near him watch your kids!

That just gave me something to do....
I recently found out that a LEVEL 3 sex offender lives about 3 blocks from my house......(rumors).
Normally the state will notify people that live in a certain area by sending them letters and doing a town meeting on the matter. But in this case the state is not telling the neighborhood since the offender is a minor.

Now...here is my idea.....
Don't tell me who or where the kid is at. Just let me know that a "minor offender" does live in the neighborhood so I can be made a little more aware that I need to keep an good eye on my kids.
So I'm going to try get a letter out....

Also, the authorities only notify neighborhoods of Minnesota offenders.  I happened to stumble upon a web site from Illinois that listed a level 3 that lives in SSP.  This is a different one from the one who caused such an uproar earlier this year.  So who knows how many more there might be from other states?

WE both know that there is a "minnesota" LEVEL 3 living in SSP but it is not on the state's website.

The one WE know about isn't listed because he is now a level 2 or something like that.  Was once a level 3, but has been down-graded or some such thing.  That's what I've heard anyway.

Yeah, some of them are really sicko's, it's too bad the police dept doesn't work with them more, seems to me these people are doing most of the leg work and all the cops would have to do is set up a meeting place and bust em' when they get there!

Goooodevening-  100 degrees today in Missouri and humid---

Don't EVER go to Kansas City! we drove to it thinking we would stay the night before heading onto Springfield. WOW! we drove in and never got out of the truck---pulled into a parking lot at a motel and Whitney started saying "We're not staying here, We're not staying here" hahahaha -she freaked out! Boy are we spoiled in St Paul. KC is very scruffy- streets and building in need of repair -dirty- unorganized -poor signage -"just doing a U TURN Whitney" and headed right outa that city! Springfield is spread out! WOW! everything is one story high and flat!!!! Wednesday we head to Branson and then to the Misissippi River where we will drive up to St Louis.

Springfield is spread out! WOW! everything is one story high and flat!!!! Wednesday we head to Branson and then to the Misissippi River where we will drive up to St Louis.


Springfield is basically one big stip mall.  On your way back, stop in Cape Girardeau.  It's a cute little town that Scribe grew up in.

I know that area well.  Of course Springfield is a pretty small city.  We used to go to Village Inn which is right around that area.  While your there, you should try to go to Mexican Villa to eat.  They used to have great food.  I believe there's one on Sunshine, close to your motel.


Don't even bother trying to find a Starbucks or Caribou in that town.  When we were there last year they looked at us with a blank stare.  They have a few coffee shops around town but they sucked.

Its been awhile...just thought I'd stop by and see what y'all are up to between Medallion hunts!

Its been a beautiful summer here in the U.P. of Michigan. I got back to St. Paul a bunch of times for events including my older son's wedding. Don't know when I'll be able to get back again, but hope to be in town for at least part of the 2005 hunt.

that is where we are headed after Branson- where did she grow up in that place? We are gonna hit a cave there that supposedly you cross water in a boat in the cave or to get to the cave? Also lookng for a good place to horse back ride. My aunt gave me an earthquake book on that area -fascinating!

It hit 101 today! there is a Starbucks here now. Anyone read about the plane crash at Branson that killed 5 people yesterday? It was awful :(

where did she grow up in that place?

I can't remember exactly. Somewhere near the University. She also spent some time in Poplar Bluff as a kid. Not much to see there.

I dunno. There's caves all over around those parts. Sounds like a cave we went to in Sweetwater TN.

Also lookng for a good place to horse back ride.

You stumped me on that one too. I was never into horseback riding, but my sisters were. We had a neighbor when we lived on the south side of springfield that had a horse. Also my sisters boyfriends family had horses. So I don't think they ever went to a stable to go riding.
