Well, I found out who lives there. Last name is the same as our next door neighbor when we lived on Stickey way back when. My daughter is going to drive by on her way home and look for any names on trucks, etc. And if she sees Richard Gere I made her promise to invite him here for dinner. :)  Same goes for Cher. I want her to see what 60 (or thereabouts) really looks like.Â
Angela saw a couple of rental type trucks, a donut truck and a large travel trailer at the place on Butler and 52. No star sightings. That's all I know.
Yup :) except it's not the t-n-t anymore, it's called ryders, probably won't go back till fall though now that camping has started. the only bad thing about that bar is the girls bathroom smelled alot like an outhouse, and it didn't get any better after a few more drinks either ;)
Just got back from the Star Wars premier. Went with Nick as my date along with coco, me2, TMK, my bro and his wife. Packed was an understatement. Plus they didn't open up the side stands so getting pop corn was a 30-45 minute wait. Lotsa costumes. One theater I went into had the entire first two rows filled with people dressed as all different characters. Pretty cool - and geeky.Â
I won't say much about the movie since many of you will see it but it was definitely the best of the last three IMHO. Just the right balance of love and war. Plus it did a pretty good job at tying everything together. Yoda kicks ass as usual. R2D2 provides some good comedy relief at the beginning. As far as the effects, the biggest change I noticed was how they managed to convey the 'floating' experience a lot more than in the past. Pretty good flick all around. I'll go see it again for sure. It was like a concert when everybody was leaving. I'll post some shots in the pix thread when I can. Missed ya Kitch
I agree with Clue Master- except that I thought Nick was my date! hmmmpt! He brought me a gift ----so there! NICK YOU ROCK! thanks for her, I am taking her to bed with me tonight.  ;)
COCO was my real date and she didnt even sit next to me. I had to throw popcorn to her and ask people to pass her pop and candy. I shoulda had them pass down a kiss ;) Â
The effects were great-It will be up for awards. I will say that I noticed these men can't hold onto their light sabers!!!! They drop them every 10 minutes!!!!
Plus it did a pretty good job at tying all the episodes together -Definately!!!!!!!! and I will go see it again as well - it was quite fast paced in the beginning, I would like to see it in slow motion on DVD
well...now the geek next to me says I'm wrong...he told me that there is a possiblity and hope that their could be 3 more movies in the series.....hmmmm what do I know...
Wait 10 hours to download a grainy piece of crap and then watch it on 19 inch screen in stereo, or pay $7.50 to see it on a 19 foot screen in Dolby Digital Surround...tough call, that one.
A Ramsey Co Trooper got run over yesterday, but he's fine other than bumps and bruises. Unbelieveable, considering how fast this truck was moving. Also, check the woman who's next to the car. She raises her head just in time!! Wow!
Today at Landmark: Movie! 3 blocks are blocked off on all of 6th st. from St Peter to Minnesota ---- car crash scene at Cedar and 6th.
will keep you posted - oh, and didn't someone mention a Budget truck at the filming near 52 and Butler? Theres a truck here too among other trucks. Sure its for the same movie.
Also that baseball thing was supposed to go on from 11-1? on the same street? hmmmmm
IT is split up now - supposedly the filming is for a commercial between St peter and Wabasha on 6th. AND the baseball thing is down on 6th between Cedar and Minnesota. Fun to watch from my work window.Â
man all kinds of stuff goin on. Yeah I went and saw the midnight showing of star wars, and it was pretty good. I seriously don't see it winning any big awards though, the effects weren't much better than Ep II, and the story was basically tye in's, and parts were kinda unrealistic. Sure sure, just a movie, and for that it was good. The star wars super fan responsible for buying my group's tickets and waiting in line and holding seats at the oakdale marcus for their new "Ultrascreen" (which btw was pretty cool, 30% larger screen than the usual, and the sound was impressive, even if problematic when the previews were going) actually was crying when the movie was done. Not sure if I can attribute that to the fact that the movie was sad, or that it was the last star wars movie...
As for more star wars in the future? I've heard some rumors of a tv show (blah), but we'll see how things work out, money talks, and it seems like star wars fans really shell out the dough.... For all I know, Lucas might just franchise it and let some other creative minds at it?
my roommate bought the animated clone wars. Watched part of it, looked alot like samurai jack, in fact, I'm betting some of the same people were involved.
There was another part of that post over at Atlantic Refugees where this Mark person said the end will be June 30th if he doesn't get $700+ dollars by then.
....seriously.....I'm to the point I don't care....we have other options in place.....
Exactly! I'm not a big fan of all this gloom and doom anyway. I have bigger things to worry about. He hasn't even upgraded my status in 5 months after numerous attempts to ask him to. Oh, well.
I feel jilted. Nick chose ClueMaster over me. I don't know if my fragile ego can take it. Although as I think about it, I suppose nobody would really want to go on a date with Kids.

hahahaha- nice OT- when I drove by there thisafternoon I didnt see anything going on :(
military escort? who paid for that?
I want her to see what 60 (or thereabouts) really looks like.

I want her to see what 60 (or thereabouts) really looks like.
60 new silicon parts, perhaps.
I'd like to see her silicon valley
(Sorry - I just couldn't resist that)
Angela saw a couple of rental type trucks, a donut truck and a large travel trailer at the place on Butler and 52. No star sightings. That's all I know.
find the t-n-t yet??
Yup :) except it's not the t-n-t anymore, it's called ryders, probably won't go back till fall though now that camping has started. the only bad thing about that bar is the girls bathroom smelled alot like an outhouse, and it didn't get any better after a few more drinks either ;)
heh...isn't every bar like in that area......
I don't know yet, that's the only one we have ventured out to :) I'll let you know when we get to the others :)
well....basically the best ones...you need to drive 2....anything in the town of mora, tobys, or north of mora on knife lake (captn dan's)
wow...no I get why those guys waited here...
http://www.manntheatres.com/chinese/
I'm watching an star wars thing on A&E right now...and the chinese theatre is where r2d2 and c3po put their feet in concrete.

bwwwwaaaaaaahhhhh...idiot
well...now the geek next to me says I'm wrong...he told me that there is a possiblity and hope that their could be 3 more movies in the series.....hmmmm what do I know...
Lucas originally planned to do 9 Star Wars movies, but for years has said he's keeping it to 6.
well...since he's basically printing his own money ...only he knows if he needs more....or if ART tells him he needs to finish the rest...

Wait, how does popcorn price affect the equation?
You have got to go watch the video for this story!

Could this be the beginning of the end?
Mark Richer "How Much Are You Willing To Donate Yearly To Help Keep This Place Running" 5/19/05 6:41am
Wouldn't it be the end of the end? The end of this place has dragged on for months...
I think this is the end to the end of the end.
I think.
Isn't it?
::Sigh::
I think it's the end when you can't pull the site up.. for over a week...
The flick was definately awesome, last night...
Thanks again for gettin the tix in advance, CM! Fun time!

Atlantic Refugees-Community Hall-What the heck are we going to do?-post 904.
Sorry, I don't know how to post it here.
I think this is the end of the middle of the end, and the true end of the end will begin June 1.
Could this be the beginning of the end?
Â
I'm sick of it....I feel like I'm getting blackmailed to give them more money everymonth.......

Lance hasn't shown his face in months.
So CM, you're status will probably never change, but you're a P4-L in my book!
