To the three guys that I was talking to at "???." Remember...I asked you what your opinion was on Clue #7 and you weren't exactly forthright....well, now I know why! I'm slowing down. See you there.

Back to clue exchanges--Has the medallion ever been found in a tree or in the ravine or do they always put it on the ground?

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 6:45 PM Permalink
Alan and Jill

they have placed it in a tree about 7 feet up.

Sorry, the Woman and I. I stepped away from the cooler for a couple of minutes. I won't be out tonight, but will be right away in the AM. If you're still around, I'll probably see you early Sunday AM.

The Woman and I: Sorry, it stepped away from the cooler for a moment. I'll be at Cherokee early Sun. AM. Was nice to meet the face to the name.

i'm elimated the small park theory - I thought it was a prospect park for awhile - I have taken that out of the loop.

But if it was a bigger park, don't you think it would be a little clearer which one by now?

Lori--I'm not sure what "this" refers to. If you mean talking in the cooler, then yes I am a newbie, I just started yesterday. If you mean searching for the medallion, then no I am not a newbie I have been searching for three years.

I left this afternoon. A lot of the area was dug up. Need more of a percise location for a better digging area. What do you think?

fox - hey I bought a lottery ticket today - I hope at least one of them pans out. Where are you headed to this fine evening. Jill

None of us are the chosen ones. Someone that accidently happened across the clues in the paper today will go out and stumble over the medallion and poof they are $4000 richer and we all go home 'til next year!

Thank you. I was actually curious about both questions. Having watched the paper over the years and silently cheered people on - it's kind of fun to find this forum. I am hoping to get my "Southern Hubby" out tonight and join in the revelry.

Back to the line of double division. Could it be referring to the B.N. and SOO R.R. lines that run below mounds park?

Woman & I: Sorry for the delay. My computer is so slow. It takes me a few minutes to refresh. I agree, we're true de-coders for the clues. We'll be one of the lucky ones, real soon!

We were out at Cherokee today to look around. My husband found a shoe in a tree that we were all excited about for a few minutes. I think it's somewhere at Cherokee. Any ideas on what it's hidden in?

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 7:16 PM Permalink
Dr. S. Livingston

I'm not sure. It was a thought. I'm not completely sold on the division of cities and counties at Cherokee.

Some say it is hidden in a La Rosa pasta box for Rose and Rosebud but we think it is too big and it could be hidden in white bread dough.

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 7:18 PM Permalink
Dr. S. Livingston

The last I heard people thought it was in a La Rosa pasta box, an altoid container or buried under a "rosebud" sled.

Last year I lived near Bandana Square. I would go into the SA on lexington and front (near como where the medallion was at) The cashiers there knew more about the hunt, from people searching and telling them, than anyone else. Is there a convienant store near Cherokee? You should go in and see what the people there have heard.

I agree it's in bread dough, seems to hold true to form for the clue writers.

probably not in metal containers because of metal detectors. The bread dough theory rules!
