I'm out the door, out 'till fore again (AHHG). Luck all. Am I nuts or does everything you hear/see turn into clue talk this time of year? I'm looking for double (AGAIN!) meanings in all I do of late. Contact medalsupport@ithinkiknowwhereitis.nuts Cheers.

Clue 9

For Monday, Feb. 2, 1998

To unlock the door and be at the fore

Of the crowds traipsing across our city,

Some advice you simply can't ignore

Is to think of the person who runs a committee.

For your information Rob, last years clues gave no indication

to stay off of private property. Como has a golf course, or is

this your first year looking for the medallion??????

The person making the clues must be making them up as the game goes on. He's laughing at us for traipsing through the snow.

I have been told that there are two buildings in I want to say Cherokee Park (but it could be in Mounds) that look a like. Could that be the "double vision"

Just a thought.

listen this is a big question that might give it away. i have this HUGE wbster dictionary and i did some research on this traipse. is there some kind of a statue or a long metal rod or an instrument or symbol of somekind to represent a leader, or a god, or a woman in CP?

Charlie Pride

I'll be fine if he doesn't yank on my wang. I'll give him my pager number, my celluar number, my home number, hell, we can even

meet at Cherokee if he wants. Then I'll yank on his chain

who;s the head of the committee???????

Charlie, are you trying to be a copy cat and be like the good country singer or are you just an idiot!

This is supposed to be a friendly place to help get ideas for a common goal. I wrote the clue down wrong, so sue me!

No statues and nothing of a symbol representing a leader that I can think of.

Isn't it weird that the "o" in "Of" is capitalized??

Rob--sounds like you did some heavy-duty research, but I don't think it applies. No statues of anything or anyone at CP (I don't think)!

Mon, 02/02/1998 - 12:32 AM Permalink
Terry

The first letter in each line is always capitalized. Doesn't mean anything in this case.

Grey, I agree.."to and fro" and "traising across our city" is exactly what I and lots of others have been doing since Friday. Mounds--->Cher---->Mounds--->Cher. Now Cher, and I still think that digging is only part of it. Remember the guy who was going for a job interview, and just happen to go over to Harriet to see what what was going on? We got the park this clue, and that's all.

What about at mounds anything there that could represent a God, a leader or a woman?

Mon, 02/02/1998 - 12:35 AM Permalink
Charlie Pride

Yo Gray Queer, what's your lawyer's number? And Mr. Searching,

isn't it also weird that all of the first words in each line are capitalized?

Mon, 02/02/1998 - 12:35 AM Permalink
Terry

Anyone still at Mounds will be sorry. Tonight's clue definately says Cherokee.

Mon, 02/02/1998 - 12:36 AM Permalink
A. Metal Detective

Rob, I don't think its in Mounds. The clue points to Cherokee, and if not, how does it point to Mounds? Its just a matter of who gets lucky and fines the proverbial needle in the haystack

Is Charlie Joe M? Just wondering. If so, I need to turn him in to Casey, it's my duty. If anything, at least I got rid of Joe this hunt! Now if only I could find ONE of them.

Ladies and gentleman I would like to inform you all that the medallion has been found at Cherokee park in a Altoids container near a park

bench. I would like to thank you all for participating in this year's contest and wish you all luck next year.

Any fisherpeople (PC) out there? I heard that if you take a fishfinder transducer, turn up the gain/sensitivity, hold it above the snow at about 2ft, it will show "fish" for anything not snow. The theory sounds good, but....anyone?

Whoa, the "Web Master" post looks real. Check the e-mail address. If it really has been found (and it sounds more real than last night's Mounds hoax) then I'm glad I at least got a chance to dig for a while over in Cherokee this weekend. I'm back safe and sound in Milwaukee now. The Altoids tin would make some sense because I believe there are roses on the tin.
