Well Allison that is why I was so stuck on Merriam at one point baecause everything led there, and longfellow school was recently imploded and rebuilt. Too bad for

me, so much diggin there, and so much closer than Conway

I'm afraid if I go to bed I'll have nightmares about 9-5-4.

Is Conway all dug up Barb?

I had a dream last night, we were searching all over for the right spot at parks.

that 954 clue fits so well with snelling ave south. darn i suck at guessing

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:42 AM Permalink
gordon c

yes i am quite aware of that regal. thanks for rubbing that in. lol

I don't think 9-5-4 has to do with sports because then "adorns the front door" makes no sense.

I don't think it is referring to I-94/5 because that is neither keeping score nor adorning a front door.

I'm not fond of it necessarily being a specific address because that's just too obvious and precise to be found in this particular sea of vagueness.

Is there anything that can tie together keeping score, adorning front doors, and those particular three numbers?

Gordon, You should have seen the 954 at Merriam, closing times for MON-FRI=9 Sat 5, and Sun 4, right in a line on the door. Town and Country private golf

course 6 blocks away- strict warning due to private, longfellow school, Merriam Websters TOME, St. Thomas 6 Blocks south, St. Thomas More went against

Henry VIII about Catholic church in England, could have swore it was there until translucent peaks, makes me mad such a long drive to Conway.

I was at Conway and I asked an older man if he was in the Water Cooler. He replied, "Is that near the ice rink?" I laughed in his face and said "yes."

When I left Conway wasn't all dug up, but a lot of the obvious spots were. People were working on the hill, though still avoiding the sledding part. There are other

spots here and there, but maybe its not buried in the snow.

Actually have pretty good idea as to where it is at Conway, and as of 1:00, the area was walked over, but not dug, hopefully tomorrow at 11:00 it'll be the same

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:48 AM Permalink
gordon c

well you seem to know your stuff alot better than i do regal. i was on my way home from anoka and i drove down montreal to my apt and i thought it must of been at

highland because people were actually searching at 2 am. i diddnt know untill i got home and turned on the web tv how serious it actually is

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:49 AM Permalink
Regalman

Huh, do you hunt, or just saw the people so thought you'd check it out?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:51 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

At this point its getting hard to tell the difference between what's been walked over and what's been dug.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:51 AM Permalink
gordon c

how many clues do they end up giving untill someone finds it?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:51 AM Permalink
Regalman

12 clues

If the treasure isn't found by Thursday at midnight, they give the money to charity.

No Allison, this area was still crusty on top except a few footprints, and you could see the left foot, right foot in it. Believe it or not it's there

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:53 AM Permalink
Regalman

Hey Allison did you see that person earlier today write about Howard ST and Howard Stern being an iconoclast??

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:54 AM Permalink
gordon c

no regal i was driving down montreal because i live on montreal ave. i was on my way home. there were people searching with flashlights on montreal between

snelling and west 7th. im not searching yet i just thought that it was kind of cool that it might only be buried a couple blocks away

People Heed my advice. You fill find it above ground frozen in ice

don't jinx us DABrew

Do you think we're actually looking for a number that adorns a front door? The only front doors at Conway are to the rec center, the library, and the houses and

apartments that surround it. Out of all those, there is one 459 but I think that's been thoroughly investigated. Maybe its more of a theoretical clue.

I am here to help Regal and help is what I am all about

Taking the first letter from each paragraph of clues given gives:

KRSAISNFTA

With three clues left, if a CRP is added you could get St Francis Park from that.

I know but do you feel like chiseling ice cuz I dont, I would rent a flame thrower b4 I chiseled

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:58 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Actually I did see that post and thought it was interesting, but then I had to go back to the fact that the clue says BE an iconoclast and not LOOK for one. That

would have been a tidy resolution though.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:58 AM Permalink
Regalman

Hey Eric go play in www.wordsmith.org/anagram/ good luck, you'll get all the anagrams you want, and you might find a logical one by this time tommorow

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 2:59 AM Permalink
Regalman

Allright, one of the clearest clues is 954 as far as wording right, just hard to figure out . Do you agree or not

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:11 AM Permalink
Regalman

That's what I thought to but what are those odds, pretty amazing

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:11 AM Permalink
gordon c

now i have an idea where conway park is

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:11 AM Permalink
Regalman

gordon it is easy, just 94 to Ruth left, over 94 right side look for people or flashlights

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:12 AM Permalink
Regalman

Allison you still in here

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:14 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I agree with your assessment of Clue#3 Regalman. Its the only one I feel I haven't figured out.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:14 AM Permalink
gordon c

thanks regal nobody would tell me. there is an amoco station at ruth and old hudson . isnt he someone who was famous

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:14 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Still trying to think of recognizable things with a 954 address. Trying to solve it bacwards even by fitting it to something at or near Conway.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:15 AM Permalink
Regalman

ok, now read 7 carefully, 4 says somewhere a four right. Flip lines 1 and 2 of clue 7 and tell me what you would get out of it

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:15 AM Permalink
gordon c

rock hudson

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:16 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Yes, I am quite sure that Henry Hudson was the answer to Clue #6. It says a man of fame with a useful name. What's more useful to a hunter than a Hudson guide?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:17 AM Permalink

isnt highway 5 also called minnehaha ave
