the wedding thing would make more sense, and with the duel, stretching but there are 2 areas where wedding photos are done in como. One by the froggie, and one on the hill by cons.
I'm still disappointed because of no one really knowing that they definitely have a park/place. I saw people digging at every park I went to today. Como had the most diggers. I have to say that I like Como because of Winston Churchill, east and west, Wheelock, Lexington, ...
I can't see where it would be AROUND Rice (except there is that tiny park called Cleveland Cirle nearby), around Rice you have the Ordway, Landmark, Qwest, the St. Paul Hotel all around it. The other reason I originally went out to look was that the 50th Anniv of the Korean War Memorial will be made there by Travis Smith which is a Gold medal winner of the Culinary Art Olympics and 2 members of his team to make an ice sculpture. So you have deploy, gold, circular thinking, and the old bank building will be a new park that is now parking - but it is just too messed up w/the fence and the ice sculptures.
I dont know, just wondering. Because when me and Shaggy 2 Dope go lookin at specific parks, we actually get out. and then we start noticing people that will drive by and circle the park a few times..just to see who is there. and then later on we catch what is probably those same people, in here saying that they were "at that park" at that same time that we were, and they start saying that the park doesnt fit anything and they shoot down everyone's response about that park. the one that they just drove by.
In the 1st couple of clues I thought of the Capitol Mall - deploy, the gold horses on top (heh - that is not bad - place w/ lots of space, riding around (on horse), move off base - much military stuff, victorious, the duel seemed to make sense for me there. oh well - I may actually try that later.
Violent J, I guess I know why you picked your name. Yes, I do get out quite a bit and I DO rely on my gut feeling but one also has to place the clues with the gut feeling. When it was at Cherokee, my husband and I were there on the 4th clue when no one else was. When it was at Newell last year, my husband was there on the 5th clue. When it was at Conrad, we were there on the 5th clue. Does that give you the idea that I get involved in the hunt and not just sit at my computer and read people's thoughts. I totally enjoy the hunt and I'm definitely not scared to get my hands dirty or my hoe (tool of trade).
I have a few problems with AA. First of all, it is about 80% woods. That makes me think that it is not there. Second, there is a ton of fencing, like so much it looks like they want to keep you out. Not just metal fencing but the orange hazard stuff too. Also, the park was quiet, almost too quiet, and it is hard for me to believe that i am the only one in St. Paul with a hunch to check it out because there were only 2 of us in the whole park, me and some other guy. It does sort of feel like conway though, so it is possible?
Digger. Yeah, cool. No, the reason I picked my name is not because im Violent....although, that has yet to be proven otherwise. No, I picked it, so i can show my support of the Wicked Clowns. As did my homie Shaggy 2 Dope who is elsewhere as we speak. Probably putting on his clown makeup, for when we go out lookin later on.
Well, Como i still looks the best, and the busiest street I believe is Lexington, the busiest street in the park, which didn't use to go where it does, it cut through down by the pavilion and parking area years ago.
ugh - well at least you will have another clue at that time!! Think positive - pryz. Also Wall St is in Lowertown as well, nearby Mears park, and the Farmers Market.
I also feel that AA has a lot of woods and at the same, I feel it is too small. However, everyone thought Conrad was too small and PP proved them wrong. The fencing around AA only made me feel the circular thinking was mentioning the fence "if the med is there". I was at the park early morning. I also couldn't see anything in the skyline/tree areas that I could spot as a reference. I might have been too low. Good sledding hill is there. I should say I'm only mentioning the things I saw.
Hi all! Just got back from diggin. What a great day. The air was so clean and crisp. The sun was shining. I'm just trying to make myself feel better cause I didn't find anything....LOL
However it can refer to the street cars that if I can recall correctly, were taken from Bandana square and moved somewhere in the park, but it's a vague memory
Goo - Memory Lane fits because of Memory Hall - I don't know - I got that off of pict#104 online - the sign about Gillette's Children's Hosp - and that people wanted to tear it down or something, but I think there is a Memory Hall, and the Hosp was transformed into the MN Humanities Commission. And I took off that sign that the man of mettle perhaps was Michael Dowling.
Ok..see, me n Shaggy were talkin bout the rec center, and we came up with "Robin Hood"....i dont know what sense that makes, but lemme try n explain. See..he was known for his "Sherwood Forest" or whatever, and two of the cross streets that are right by the rec center, are Sherwood and Forest.
Digging, I was referring to the park, LExington is the busiest street in the park itself, not city. Victoria St, goes with the victorious, Did you want E como or W como st?? Churchill man of mettle. Deploy/ destroy- torpedo. Circular, I can't say, it'd give it away. Como fits better than anywhere, and it would be their smartest place to put it, cuz after 3 straight years of hearing Como will always be too busy, if they did, no one would believe it is there like a lot of people in here.
Good afternoon everyone! So far...confusion has set in and I'm getting close to having a mental breakdown. Yep, it's a great day!
Crazy, sorry, but way too deep!!
Annette, could it be AROUND rice park?
yeah, it says "or you'll hunt until June"
Im not the only one that is doing that. I seen alison up there he said the same thing
weim, not sure - I was at McGovern's for the 1st time w/ the Cooler Crew. Glad I went. Were you there?
the wedding thing would make more sense, and with the duel, stretching but there are 2 areas where wedding photos are done in como. One by the froggie, and one on the hill by cons.
Missed that one! Thanks VJ! When you read them so many time, you start to gloss over them.
Reg, theres also those gates over by the fountain, near the lake.
nope wasn't there i'm a long long long ways away
work with an annette b.
a few of my buds are at McMurrays...has anyone been there?

What about---the Capital---Wall Street is around there..." the busiest street" reference???
Digger, are you one of the people that just drives by to see if anyone is there, or do you actually get out to "feel" the park?
J I actually got out at AA when i went, i did only drive by McMurray at Como though, thought it was insane, and left. Why?
I dont know, just wondering. Annette..I'm at the point where I'm not doubting anything! When I get off of work...that will be a stop of mine for sure!

does anyone know where i can get a map of AA on the net????
When do you get off work? pryz - perhaps I will see you later tonight a hunting
Donna, someone just posted a map link a few 10 posts ago.
they took that map down cause it supposedly messed up the broswer
thank you digger
Unfortnately, at 11:00pm...It's going to be a very LONG night!
what's AA

The only clue i cant fit at Phalen is the last one-any ideas?
Perhaps, Annette That 10 G will help greatly with tuition! (WISHING HARD)!
The capitol still fits as well though, so who knows anyway.
Goo, what were you getting for the man of mettle at phalen?
ConWAY, it's never been at conRAD.
Yeah, and the lexington reference, i believe Rice is way busier than lexington, and university is probably worse than that.
Gov Johnson (Johnson pkwy)
Sorry, Conway - Conrad, cousin's name is Conrad. Sorry for him.

how do i look at a past post
I just have a sneaky suspition it is downtown--- SOEWHERE!?!?!?!

I ran upon an accident this afternoon at Como. Got the sudden feeling of a busy street. It was right before Maryland. No one was hurt thankfully.
Lee&J.,Penni and Jord,We'll hook up after the clue tonight?
My prediction is the next clue will refer to animals,or 'field' in some way..........hopefully narrow it down some!
