You're right digger. This is my 2nd year and last year I was totally in the wrong park so I should feel good about being in the right park....even though I was digging a million miles away from it!! LOL
Noodling the clues in some method can often get you to the right park. (It'll also get you to the wrong park.) It's luck to find it. There is no doubt of that!
I was digging in the medallion area 98 & 99 hunts but didn't trust myself and moved away from medallion. Wanted to kick myself when I found where it was found. This time lasted longer than last year and I was on the wrong side of the park. Was on the top by the shelter by the trolley car this year and should have been on the other side.
Jake, Steve, and I had it exactly right. West picnic area, clue 5 is bs. We dug on the other end of the picnic tables where Jake told me it was found. My dad told me to dig there when I got home. If he would have come with, he probably would have lined up the old trolley tracks across Horton with the shelter, cause that is what he told me. We lined em' up with 2 trash cans earlyier for the hell of it.
We were there. For about 12+ hours, from Thursday until it was found. One piece of advice... stick to your guns, and there is ALWAYS a BS clue.
My spider senses tell me it will only be in large parks from here on out. Hunt is too big. They probably got a list of 5 parks now that they keep in the mix.
after I just read clues 11 and 12 I feel just sick to my stomach -= that's where I was!!! My daughter wanted to play so I went over there to dig, there were about 10 us right there - this is sickening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should bring my dad with next year. He is 86. I got tips from him on where the 'street' car used to run, but was too focused on the man of mettle, FDR or Churchill. According to his "memories", the "street" car used to turn around in a "circle" under the "old stone bridge" by Lexington and Horton, built with money from the New Deal.
Well guys,you gotta admit we had some really good manifesto's brewin in here! I think we should make a collection of them every year and send them to the PP!
