Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
It's getting to the point that the number of ideal days to hide it are in our favor to see the hider. We're assuming that the hider does the act during a storm.
I think I would actually be disappointed if I were to see the medallion dropped. The fun of all this is the hunt. Without the hunt, the only thing left is the money - not that that's bad - but somehow it would feel like cheating...and everyone would feel cheated about not getting a chance at it.
I know....but there are people who think this way and I can imagine that this kind of thing may happen eventually. I hope the hider understands the nature of these people.
Remember when folks used to have metal detectors to find the medallion? I resisted the temptation to buy one of those cheaters then, but several times it was found with the help of those detectors.
I'd probably quit hunting if I had proof of impropriety. Whether it was an insider or if the hider was so lame as to easily be deduced, I'd hang it up and move on to other things. It must stay legit!
LLady, There are some sights like that on the net, but I don't have them bookmarked on this computer. If I remember to check later on the other putter, I'll post some links.

I think phalen this year, nice and big, lots of places to hide it with no snow!
It'll snow.
We don't wanna go all the way to china, just down under the snow. And it might not even be that deep this year :)
Steve, I hope so. But we must be prepared man.
I just hope that when it gets hidden, there won't be someone watching.
Unless it is you.
well hes psyched and ready to go!
well..yes
Me too. I wish I saw them drop it.

any storms in sight?
joe
None LL. My guess is that the hider is starting to sweat.
this is a though. how many parks are there steve?
well, I'm sure they have somthing up their sleeve just in case!
Lots Tim..and I don't want to sit and watch for hours. I'll wait for the clues.
Yes, but how many employees at the pp?
And you can subtract the ones with seniority, it is a un wanted job.
me too! would'nt be any fun if I knew where it was! although the money would come in real handy!
See you later. I'm off to get some night vision goggles. And motion sensitive trigger action video cameras.
see ya
bye steve!
Laters steve :)
Good Morning!
I think I would actually be disappointed if I were to see the medallion dropped. The fun of all this is the hunt. Without the hunt, the only thing left is the money - not that that's bad - but somehow it would feel like cheating...and everyone would feel cheated about not getting a chance at it.
:( kids have lots of energy today! :(
Oh and some GPS vehicle tracking components that can be inconspiuously attached to the cars of potential hiders.....hmmm, sneaky.
I'm with yu terry, I look forward to this all year and if it was over that fast I'd probably have to hire a shrink!
Where do you think it is gonna be steve?
Your right Ter. But if I don't turn in the treasure until the end, will you still have fun during the course of the event?
Steve - by the time you buy all that stuff, you'll have spent all the $10,000 you hope to win!
I thought it wasnt about the money
But I would feel cheated if I knew you had it from the beginning.
how many people could actually controll themselves that long if they found it! Not me!
And the rules say you should turn it in immediately. With spotters out there, I'd hate to not be eligible because I hung onto it for days.
And no....it's not about the money....but the thrill of the hunt. The money is secondary.
lol, what do you mean by "control themselves" LL, that sounds a little adult for me :)
I know....but there are people who think this way and I can imagine that this kind of thing may happen eventually. I hope the hider understands the nature of these people.
I know one.
well I guess thats because I am! at 31 if you hav'nt grown up your in alot of trouble!
I know that one too.
I've no doubt of that, Steve.

I hated it!

You betcha!
Hmm..very quiet here.
I think i'll pick up a new dictionary this year to look up all those wierd words they use!
unless someone knows of somthing on the internet like that?
That and a Thesuarus...say what's another word for Thesaurus?
Heh, I don't look up words, I just msispell em and misuse em all the time. So I can't help you, sorry LL.
ummmmm... I don't know, let me check my dictionary
