Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Med2k
Fee, I have no ride since I'm at school, but if you want to pick me up.....
MD nope the northern half has a new baseball field and stay off the turff signs. The southern half is a dog leash free area. with a woods, hill going down away from the woods, and a nice veiw of DT MPLs
I actually have something of a grudge against AA now. I think Battle Creek and Phalen are looking good though, and some smaller parks as well. It will be interesting to see if tonight's clue narrows it down or just makes us go "What the ****??!!"
Good evening Green & Ares. you too have been quiet - is it getting to that time already? we are only 3 into it. This has to be a new clue-writer-I get 3 clues from each day-BUT, I got 3 clues from each day last year! and look where that got me---MEARS!
The Pioneer Press and Cub Foods will host three special events for participants in the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt who gather at the newspaper’s downtown St. Paul headquarters to await publication of clues:
“Vulcan Night†– Saturday, Jan. 26: The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt heats up with a visit from the Winter Carnival Vulcans. The hunt’s presenting sponsor – Cub Foods – and Hormel, also a Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt sponsor, will participate. KOOL 108 and the station’s KOOL KAT mascot will help host the event and prize drawings.
“Tropical Night†– Sunday, Jan. 27: Colorful leis and Hawaiian shirts will brighten the night in time for an appearance by the Winter Carnival Royal Family. The WLOL party van will pull up to help host the event and prize giveaways.
“Movie Night†– Tuesday, Jan. 29: The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt goes Hollywood with Marcus Theatres and K102. Treasure hunters can watch movie trailers, munch popcorn and win theater tickets, posters and other prizes. K102 will sponsor an appearance by the Rodeo Renegades danceline and a drawing for rodeo tickets.
Time: All events will be held from 11 p.m. until midnight. Events will take place, as scheduled, unless the medallion has been found. Call the Treasure Hunt Hot Line for the current status of the hunt at (651) 228-5547.
2k2...I am thinking Highland and HF as well, and am trying to get info on Merriam. Norris thinks Highland 4 sure. However, I drove by Highland, HF, Crosby, and Cherokee around 3:30 today and didnt see ONE person digging...surprised
2 things-carnival could be the horse merry-go-round at COMO!
eeeeewwwweeeee!
and-
What are the odds that whoever finds it this year in 4-5 clues -everyone will hate that person for ending the game so soon-or the clue-writer--FIRE the clue-writer- sorry that I will find it tonight everyone :)
You guys, look in your Treasure Hunter's Guide and see how Conway's description goes hand-in-glove with the clue meanings. Weird!
I, too, am convinced we've a new Clue Writer. And it ain't no MomPress employee. They got some character outta "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" to write the clues...
DITTO ND on the dragging the clues on because of the events planned.--BUT think we wouldn't have to watch the country102 dancers if I found it before that-hahahahaha
Fee, I have no ride since I'm at school, but if you want to pick me up.....
MyD-If the same as the past few nights-the clue comes out at MaPress at about 11-11:15 and online at midnight
Daddy, thanks for the scraping tip. Were you on the northern half?
Randy- White Bear Lake- home of the famous medallion finder of 1998
dont know who is driving tonite....will keep in touch. current park thought 2k2?
PARTY.TIME.#.6.IT'S.MINE.
Me2, I'll take that half an hour jump on noodlin. These 3 clues are stagnating.
Nice full house, squeakers.

I found a shovel there Ha ha
Highland is #1 on my list right now, Arlington, Hidden Falls also up there, your thoughts fee?
k-whats up-have you been reading everyone else all day?
did you get it yet, llady? of course my opinion has changed a bit since i wrote it ;)
mmmm-hmmmmm. I, too, like AA. Must check it out, depending on Clue 4, of course.
on my list are Highland, Hillcrest (by Highland), maybe Mounds -until tonight THAT IS IT!
thats right AA-that is on my short list too
This is still WAY too easy
DRINKS.FOR.ALL.MY.BUD'S.GL
you will never make clue #4 Squeak.. (bill buckley) LOL
I actually have something of a grudge against AA now. I think Battle Creek and Phalen are looking good though, and some smaller parks as well. It will be interesting to see if tonight's clue narrows it down or just makes us go "What the ****??!!"

Me2, we're on the same "trek." hehe
i've been to'in and fro'in, me2!
AW, are you sure your grudge doesn't stem from last year, when early on, you were AA all the way? :)
Whats the guess for tonight??
I think a street reference or water reference or playground or something useless like
If you want to be in the know,
try looking in the snow...
new clue writter is probably getting parinoid as we are all trying to pick her brain.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AW - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AW----1 DAY LATE
Was it your 21st birthday? haha
YA.IN.A.BIG.GLASS?
I, too, Me2 have been to'ing and fro'ing...

That's exactly where it comes from MD
good save, me2 :)
nd, the clue writer is probably way beyond paranoid!
I don't have high hopes for tonight, Daddy. Last year, we didn't get a specific clue about a street name, much less the park, until Clue 7. Torture!
Green all this stuff going on late in the week. makes me think we are in for some very vague clues coming up..
BLOW?
:)
I was thinking.... "THINK, THINK, THINK" Winnie The Pooh...
it's definitely in 1 of the larger parks ...... Phalen, battle creek, highland, como(yes, could be), hidden falls.....
Has to be. There is no snow to cover it....
2k2...I am thinking Highland and HF as well, and am trying to get info on Merriam. Norris thinks Highland 4 sure. However, I drove by Highland, HF, Crosby, and Cherokee around 3:30 today and didnt see ONE person digging...surprised
I think the cluewriter is working on the clue right now, trying to think of yet one more way to refer to trees, hills, or a playground.
Little to early to be digging in one of the biggest parks in the city, need a few more clues to narrow down an area
2 things-carnival could be the horse merry-go-round at COMO!

I still like phalen.......for now!
FHALEN????.LONG.TIME
Yup, Daddy. Me thinks we're gonna go 12...

Let's hope we go the distance green, would be more fun for us all
yeah, relly long, and tide made me think of phalen "shores" apts.
DITTO ND on the dragging the clues on because of the events planned.--BUT think we wouldn't have to watch the country102 dancers if I found it before that-hahahahaha
Why is it weird when the Treasure Hunter's Guide came out the year after Conway?
ummmmm....juicy fruit !
PASS.TIME.LED.ZEP.#4
