Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Liquor Lady
no longer did I post that and I got kicked off myself!
We got the MSN/Best Buy Deal about a year ago. Had lots of trouble at first, but not much lately, until now when it matters! The Winter Carnival was the whole reason we got a computer!
All in all its not a bad deal though, we paid about $10 for our computer after rebates, and we would have paid an ISP anyway and probably would have ended up with AOL because that's what everybody else we know has.
Broadband is the way to go. Once you get it hooked up, it is a whiz. I especially like the multiple computer deal. So I have cable access in my bedroom.
yep i'm here. i never leave. just have the game on.
leela, i called qwest and ordered the isp change on the 5th of december. they gave me a change date of the 19th. 19th comes and goes, and i'm still running through qwest. several phone calls later to qwest, an escalation of the problem, and someone ordering a tech call to my house to "ensure my wiring wasn't the problem" i finally got the change made. now that the change has been made, it's been perfect. one of my co-workers made the mandatory change from qwest to msn, and spent 5 or 6 days working with msn to get the mess straightened out.
its a matter of you either change to msn on your own time, and know about it, or change at the deadline. your call.
or you can pre-empt the process and change to a completely different isp. i'd never go with anything national for myself. i went with visi because they i think they cater more to the business world than the home user world, providing a higher quality of service.
Wellllll... I didn't understand and since all the cable modem, DSL (or whatever) stuff was also tossed about, *I* thought that if you didn't pick your DSL company (and get the service) prior to "the deadline," that you'd have your DSL carrier picked for you.
And since I'm not able to get broadband yet, I was a titch worried.
I hear you. I'm not a packer fan, and it's painful to say that Brett Favre is one of the best qb's to play the game. I went through the whole Burns era too, and even vaguely remember the Steckel year. Things have been darker.
mornin all, pretty quiet night out there! I even got ready early so I would have time to slog! now what am I going to do? hey! someone forgot to leave the light on and the coffee brewed! I guess if you want somthing done you have to do it yourself!
Morning LL! It's bright and early(figuratively). Were you working on Saturday night? I actually stopped in at Hillcrest for a 6-pack, then the next day saw you post that you work there.
Ah. She was telling the guy at the counter something about how ringing up sales effects inventory. It sounded somewhat managerial, so I wondered. But she went in the back room by the time I got to the counter, so I didn't ask "Ya dig?" Probably would have received a funny look. lol
oh just a little bit, frosty. i watched 'em through almost all of the dennis green era, and i know i'm not the first to say good riddance. of course, in recent weeks i've been accused of being a packer fan too, but that's a different story :) i'd sooner die.

I'm bout to go postal on msn!

Same problem I had(email) but once I got it going its been working ever since. I've definately got my $10 worth!
I JUST GOT KICKED OFF 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 5 MINUTES!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ares, are you still here? We have to switch our DSL, too and were thinking of going with Visi - why was the DSL switch hard?
Damn slogging, I prolly missed him.

Ares is around here somewhere i'm sure. Evening Leela

thanks, I think we are going with one of the local and not MSN - we should get the change made soon or we will be out of luck
We have had qwest for a number of years...and always were pleased with them.
Two months now we haven't been charged for internet through them, but it's still operating. Weird, right?
At any rate, we made the switch to cable modem. I love it!!!

yeah, we have been leaning toward visi but are also looking at cpinternet
SCD's to all.
Goodnight Tim!

SCDs, Timmers!
Hay, Ter; Leelabell!
Ares, what's this deadline thighy you're talking about?
JOE!!!
green i'm not sure exactly when it was supposed to happen, but all qwest's isp customers were supposed to be changed over to msn. that's the deadline.
Oh. Okay. Thanks. I've not qwest, so I don't have to worry.
Thank you!
didn't mean to scare you :)

long hours but worth the four days off every week!
if you stop in today I will be there

But it's Tuesday. Don't need to drink today (except to forget stupid Vikings game)
nah! she knows how nuts I am about the hunt! besides being my cousin she's also my best friend.
I havn't watched em play for a while now, no fun anymore!
sigh. I keep watching. It's like looking at a car accident as you drive by. I just can't help myself.
well, I'm off to work! have a good day cc!
Keep those drunkards drinkin' LL!
i'd compare it more to being in that car accident and watching your hood crumple up, frosty.
Taking things a bit personally, Ares?
oh just a little bit, frosty. i watched 'em through almost all of the dennis green era, and i know i'm not the first to say good riddance. of course, in recent weeks i've been accused of being a packer fan too, but that's a different story :) i'd sooner die.
