Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Well, one thing is for sure, the new clue writer was hired to make the hunt last longer than 8 clues. It is quite clear from the language that they want to leave everything a bit vague so that we are unsure. I would say that, so far, it semes to be working. I hate to continually say/read/ think this, but I bet tonights clue will help us in narrowing down the park.
Anyway, sadly, I have to leave now for the weekend, I will be back Sunday, hopefully, it will still be out there!!
Slim, I spent two hours of work time following your train of thought. I like it. I was forcing a small park to fit the other day too. It may be the same one as you. I didn't get your anagram thing yet, though. Is a school nearby?
slim, I'm working today, and have my kids to watch over tonight. I'll probably wait and head down to pp again tonight. I think tonight's clue will finally have some meat in it. I might send runningchick to pp instead. Me so tired.
good to see you Ian. You interested in my red eye noodling? i found a tiny park. one small hill from the parking lot, a baseball field. no woods, but wood-named street, a tiny tot lot (like for toddlers, fenced in) a rec center with a flag on top (hunter's pride) in view of the KSTP tower. Two streets anagrammed in clue 4. Also, it's not in THG- (any old fool would not find it there) no one seems to like the idea of a small neighborhood park though.
So what about this "take your wreck", could it be a car impound lot or junk yard? Doesn't the Park n Rec have a warehouse across the street from a section of Como where they service vehicals? Or is this reallly stretching things?
Flower-de-Luce Palingenesis The Bridge of Cloud Hawthorne Christmas Bells The Wind over the Chimney The Bells of Lynn Killed at the Ford Giotto's Tower To-morrow Divina Commedia Noel These are all poems by Longfellow isn't Merriam by Longfellow Elementary school? and i know B.C. Has a Longfellow Street very near it. Cummon now I need feedback
Dave don't go spreding the word that I was helping you fit Newell in!!! I also said I don't think its the park :-) I also said that the year it was found there HA HA HA HA
RUN FAST, RUN HARD, STAY FOCUSED AND ON THE TRACK AS YOU CHASE YOUR DREAM......THEN RETIRE TO A NICE WARM COUCH......
Besides on/in air, anyone notice the streets A, B, and C may also stand for At Battle Creek? I am still strong on this site.
However, Diamond in the Rough also stands for something that has nothing to do with baseball or jewels or a match box brand.....Unfortunately I just cannot yet spit that out of my brain.....I am thinking it is a song by a popular singer- perhaps from the 70-80's..........perhaps even Elton John or Berry Manlow...........EEEKKKKKKKk!! Can anyone HELP???!!!

dimond in rough is some thing that is being rebuilt or maybe old ugly house some one takes and fixes. charlie browns xmas tree. dont know of a song like that?
So lisa are you leaving to look at newell when hubby gets home? And dont be so quick to cut down your idea's it could be found there. I still like como and mounds.
Got the day off. Was planning on doing some digging, but I've not narrowed the park down enough yet to actually dig or rake or whatever. Instead I'll be trying to get this house in reasonable order and then head out this afternoon to do some scouting around at a few spots.
I believe this last clue is the what-it's-in clue. Believing that, I would have to say it's been encased in something resembling a diamond in the rough - coal - or a rough cut diamond that would resemble something icier but still muddy.
I also believe just about any park is still in the running - including Como....but probably McMurray field if that's the case.
Thanks Frosti

Thanks, Ares
Class of 69-- Colby lake is in the heart of Woodbury.
soelo, clue 5's pattern was aabccb. you can usually write off a change in the rhyme pattern midhunt. its usually meaningless.
