Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Liquor Lady
KIDS, I WENT TO JOANNE FABRICS TODAY TO GET MY PINK POLKA DOTS AND THEY DO SEWING CLASSES THERE!
So, then me standing on The Med at Como, and telling Steve and Jakey to dig up on the hill (I wanted their brawn... I'm NOT afraid to pull gender if it helps! LOL!!!), makes up for me digging in Phalen all alone the year before?
We were digging all around that spot at Conway. We didn't get lucky enough to dig it up which certainly would have been a good thing...but we were in the right park and in the right area of the park. For that I'm always grateful.
I never got near the bleachers at Conway. So you guys did way better'un me (Yeah. I know... "So tell us something NEW, green!"). I was south o'there, between the tree line and street.
I'm going to be at the pre-hunt party and I'll be bringing about 6 or 7 people with me it looks like from my singles club. I've working on getting them addicted as well.
What's in my bio? I haven't looked at their site lately to know I had a bio. Although I was emailing Trent and they were seriously thinking of using my singles club as the basis for their next movie. Now that could be interesting. And Tim, I saw your Dad a week or two ago. I forgot where now though.
Can't believe there's so many posts already! We'll have 30,000 posts before it even starts! Am I at Marydale? Well I live pretty close to that but I'm not there now. As for the people coming to the pre-party, actually I don't think any of them were on that camping trip.
As for spotters, well either they exist or there are some weird people hanging around the treasure sites.
Well if they're half as nice, I'll look forward to meeting them, Allison. Here I thought maybe they had gotten a titch of medallion fever from our conversations. Maybe they were just too cold to get feverish.
Most of the people in the club are pretty nice with a few exceptions. And none of those are doing the hunt.
As for the spotters, there was that time at Conway where there was a guy that just stood across the park, looking at where the treasure was with no digging tools, and he just stood there from 11pm to like 4am.
I figure when I get too old and crippled up and blind to hunt anymore, I'm still going out there to stand or sit and watch. Maybe the guy was just fascinated with the hunt - but couldn't/didn't want to dig?
This year I also have plans to at least try and get to the Royal Ball, see the ice and snow sculptures, and then see the torchlight parade, the dethroning, and go to the Vulcan Victory Dance. Going to try and really get into the whole carnival this year.
I actually do believe in spotters...though some might think spotters as being shifts of PP employees. I actually believe the whole thing...the hiding, the clues, the spotting is done by two people.
And, Allison, remember? He had the paper? And he never turned from that one page? And just kept watching from over by the lites by the building, looking always toward THE SKATING RINK AND THE BASEBALL DIAMOND AND BACKSTOP BEYOND????
He was quite a ways from where it was, but he was looking off in that direction. Of course I thought it was somewhere else behind him at the time and I thought he was just trying to be nonchalant.
Allison Wonderland - David Allison has a reputation for being the best clue noodler in St. Paul. He's usually right about which park the medallion is in long before anyone else knows. When he says it's in a certain park, hundreds of diggers follow. When he's right, it's great. But when he's wrong...
Remember, Tim, you HAVE to turn The Med in rite away. RITE AWAY. Not in two hours, not in five, not in three days. You pick it up and go directly to MomPress.
Would make sense. Those were really stupid clues that year. And that guy was really stupid to stand out in the cold that long and be that obvious and never turn a single page o'that newspaper...
I wonder... DAMN! Wish I'd seen if it was a copy o'MomPress! LOL!!!

LL, I think I am going to stick with my red ski jacket with frosting from last years re-hash bash on it. Scribe says I should wear bells, too.
Ares, we are going with bitstream.
So, then me standing on The Med at Como, and telling Steve and Jakey to dig up on the hill (I wanted their brawn... I'm NOT afraid to pull gender if it helps! LOL!!!), makes up for me digging in Phalen all alone the year before?
LOL!!!
Ares - It's like this for me...
We were digging all around that spot at Conway. We didn't get lucky enough to dig it up which certainly would have been a good thing...but we were in the right park and in the right area of the park. For that I'm always grateful.
THEY HAD SOME REALLY CUTE HEART BELLS AT JOANNS, I ALMOST BOUGHT SOME
Green, be quiet. Be were digging in the correct park at least. And DIGGING at least.
Green, will do. I should be outta here tomorrow sometime in the morning i hope. So I'll post that i'm on my way.
Terry... Nah. Maybe they'll FINALLY get a clue... LOL!!! You go ahead and warn them if you want, but you know them...
"We don't want you. Ittiz Saturday nite."
terry that puts you one step closer than i was. we were digging around the bleachers on the diamond opposite the one it was at.
I never got near the bleachers at Conway. So you guys did way better'un me (Yeah. I know... "So tell us something NEW, green!"). I was south o'there, between the tree line and street.
Green - If they haven't a clue yet...they never will.
Ares - You were in the right park. You were on the west end (unlike others that were way east in that park) and you gave it your best shot.
Did someone call me?
Hey Allison!
Allison is here!!! By the way, who did you pay that put in your bio on the NAHF site?
ALLISON!!!!!!!!!
Where you at? Marydale?
I'm going to be at the pre-hunt party and I'll be bringing about 6 or 7 people with me it looks like from my singles club. I've working on getting them addicted as well.

Thanks, Allison. Wimp out on me and leave me holding the bag (sigh).
Spotters DO XIST!!!
Nice three-of-a-kind, green!

WELL NIGHT ALL! GOTTA GO WORK ON MY PINK POLKA DOTS!

SCDs, Llady!
Rite, Ter. And I'm The Clue Writer.
I can't wait to see those pink polka dots!
The guy wasn't old, maybe in his 40's. and why stand and watch at those hours? And for that long in the cold?
I hope to again see The Torchlight Parade from the middle of it...
I actually do believe in spotters...though some might think spotters as being shifts of PP employees. I actually believe the whole thing...the hiding, the clues, the spotting is done by two people.
I suppose it's warmer if you're in the parade than just standing there on the sides.
And, Allison, remember? He had the paper? And he never turned from that one page? And just kept watching from over by the lites by the building, looking always toward THE SKATING RINK AND THE BASEBALL DIAMOND AND BACKSTOP BEYOND????
Allison - It's the difference between standing at the fire and being 50 yards from it.
Oh. Sorry. No "Joe!" My math a bit off... Was trying for a straight...
My apologies... I now return you bock to your scheduled programming...
He was quite a ways from where it was, but he was looking off in that direction. Of course I thought it was somewhere else behind him at the time and I thought he was just trying to be nonchalant.
Spotters, why?

1) So they know when The Med's found.
2) They know who found The Med.
3) So The Med can't be kept.
Remember, Tim, you HAVE to turn The Med in rite away. RITE AWAY. Not in two hours, not in five, not in three days. You pick it up and go directly to MomPress.
You don't, you're in big, deep doggie-foofoo.
Maybe it was the clue writer and he was expecting someone to find it that night and just wanted to watch.
Tim - think about it...
you have a puck in the snow worth $10,000.
there are thousands of folks looking for that one puck
security come to mind?
I always figure when the spotter sees it's been picked up, there is a notification to police or whatever until the people get out of the park.
That's what they wrote about me? hehe. Well I guess it is an objective opinion...:P
A few people have stated that they wouldnt turn it in if they found it. What would the pp do?
