Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Violent J- someone suggested UPS as a possible job- I believe they also have a tuition program. I know several people who work there and have heard nothing but good things.
I agree totally! People will always believe what they want to believe, give and take what you will from the board, it is what it is-a community, more so than most web communitys because we actually do meet in person-and any kind of "secret code" (besides the funny kind) would be the demise of the spirit of this "cooler" crew.
The reality of it is also that even if you know what the actual park is in clue #1, it still wouldn't mean sh!t since you still need to find exactly where it is in the park. Even if it's in Rice park, you would still need to start pretty much blind since the clues don't usually point out the exact locale until the last clue. Other than that you would just be in the right park is all. How many past answers say that bla, bla, bla was just in or seen from the park is all.
The other thing is that when you post an idea, more times than not, others will denounce it somehow to try and make their point seem more believable if yours seems wrong. I remember a lot of people (a few anyway) that bashed certain ideas of Merriam. Some did turn out to be bogus and others were correct. Regardless, you take ones opinions at face value and do with them what you will. Many still think that even after the hunt is over, the clues (if that's what you call them) fit Mounds better than Merriam. Take what you will.
mornin all! sorry I didn't make it on to say hi last night. saturday crew left alot of work for me to do and by the time I got home I was pissed off and verry tired, couldn't get off the couch once I sat down! Ian I listened to those cd's and there were two of them that I liked but I can't remember wich ones! I left them at work. I do know the one that you can put in your puter was really bad! was funk music! yuck! I'll let you know either tonight or tomorrow K?
Allison - I agree about the email thing. Any mail I get from here can't be any worse than the spam stuff I get - and the block feature works wonderfully. As long as it's an opt-in thing, there shouldn't be any problem.
Someone asked about Qwest email. We have switched...though when we went to cancel it, they said we didn't have their service. We checked and haven't been billed for it for at least a couple of months. However, we are still getting the email from that service. Go figure. In fact, we've gotten some email from them regarding the new service...but when we called again - they don't have any record of us having service.
Better get going here. Another day at the office is always something to look forward to....NOT!
Good morning, Still looking at the clues, I'm am starting to like our writter more, but not how carelessly she hide it. worth wads, wadsworth was a great clue at this point, easy, yet not to obvious at this point if the hunt was still going on.
I'm going to the history center today to follow up on Fountian cave, which I stumbled on while doing research for the hunt. This is an obvious ploy to get out of further basement cleaning.
I believe the only reason the puck was found so early was because of lack of snow, not because of the clues (Although they sucked). Had there been two feet of snow on the ground, the hunt would have lasted into the weekend.
Hey Heads....I was out of town sat-monday....how did the rehash bash go??? whats this I hear of a new site??? How is everyone coping with the 'withdrawals'???
There seems to be a bit of agreement over the e-mail repository. If he is interested, I would like to nominate Those Medalling Kids . He is a longtime poster, has a memorable e-mail address, and is NOT O L T.
Allison,I really liked what you said about the Coolercrew bein inclusive and all! You said it much better than I! If you don't want the public to know what park, simply don't post it here...use e-mail or a phone for Gawds sake!!
ya know the one thing i like about the new boards. it shows us that scribe is the chattiest one of all of us :) and i agree. viewing by topic does indeed rock.
I just read and slogged most of last nights posts....Allison is is like the best speaker around....does he do that for a living or what??? I am not kidding...the guy makes a lot of sense and takes into consideration all sides and all peoples points of view before speaking....he is a great analytical thinker too!! I like it!! Nice post ALLISON!!
Yeah, this new board is going to be a pain in the rear until we figure out the best way to use it. But, there are lots of options, so let's hope there's one that works.

I have converted the CD to mp3's and have the songs in my shared directory. I tried to upload, then got a message about groups. I created the St. Paul Winter Carnival group. But it looks like there have to be members to send to.
Any idea how you can get it just by doing the regular search?

Off to a meeting. BBL
Yep, I am with THX. The clues were not as bad as where the thing was hidden.
The clues actually started to get better, as far as the ryhme scheme is concerned. It was just the first one that was so awful.

Allison is a great help to this one o'Piscean bent. However, he needs to carry a much larger cane and use it more often, and harder, on my head...
