I just checked out their puck posse sight. I believe that folks are happy to be invited to the bash. I would hate for the actions of one person to ruin this for everyone over there.
My opinion is that we shouldn't be making enemies with that group. They are us in so many ways. lilman is just one person - and may be a bit afraid that he won't be accepted so is playing both ends against the middle. The last I read over there is that he's excited to be part of the cooler crew and the puck posse. (THAT name rolls off the tongue - NOT!!) He can't hurt us and maybe he's just really unsure of himself.
Perhaps we could encourage him to keep the music low and background?
I dunno, from what I've read over there, I think they're just acting nice, just so they're not the first ones to start anything, I mean we're the ones with the "reputation" remember...
Then let's prove them wrong instead of proving them right.
For those of you who remember the Conway hunt and that one weird kid who posted - can't think of his name - but he showed up at the rehash bash for just a little while. He was definately someone with some problems, but no one treated him unkindly.
So where is downtown dave? I need the next clue!!! He's later than usual. ....Oh- sorry- habit ya know. I guess I'm still a bit twitchy. My hubby wants to negate the whole "medallion was Found" announcement so that he cango find it in zone 7. heheh.
Dad and I made it out to see a movie and had a nice dinner at Timberlodge. He's been dealing with some impending changes with his employer (they've put his division up for sale and will close if a buyer doesn't surface), and has lots of ideas running around in his head. It's been fun listening to him talk about what he thinks might happen. Haven't seen him this excited about something in a long time.
Kids won't return until about noon tomorrow, and then we'll lose #1 again for tomorrow night. This is almost like a vacation.
Can't decide if the hot artichoke dip will stay hot enough - thinking about a nice big caesar salad as an alternative.
Dad has some pallets at work that he can probably bring for firewood - we'll check that out tomorrow.
Hey Mom! Glad you got a nice night out. Timberlodge has some pretty decent food. Really happy to hear Dad is excited about the upcoming changes. Change is always a bit scary, but if you take the high road and look forward to some of it, the scary part isn't as scary.

LL - that's not a bad idea. I would volunteer - but I believe we're picking up green somewhere and who knows when we'll get there for sure.

I was thinking 11 too. Hate to have anyone out there cold too early. Of course you can always hang out in the vehicle unless folks start arriving.
My guess is that folks will be later - especially if they are unsure of who/what they might run into.
