We would have had a 5 day advantage if anyone would have considered Como a contending park. It never occured to many of us that the medallion would be hidden back there so soon. If you read my post about the retrospect of the clues, it could've been a short-challenging hunt. Some of us on this board have issues with the facts that the clues did not follow the historical format of the hunts in years past, and that it seems no matter what the interpretation, these clues really did not divulge the area . Unless you had Como as your first and foremost park, none of these clues made way to where the medallion was hidden.
Allison is far left in the black. Ares is the one on the right who looks like Drew Carey. I think I know some others in that pic but forgot their names.
Reg, you've met me before. I was talking to you when you were digging on the edge of the woods on Tuesday night. I've seen you down at the PP too in line.
I know what the explanation of clue 7 says. But what I'm saying is suppose I remembered the story of Ann Bilansky because she killed her husband and was the only woman to be hanged in MN, and that made me think of "rid of her man, she ran and ran". So I do a search on Ann Bilansky to see if I can match up the other details. Well I can't. I just tried. But even if I had, odds are that I still wouldn't have gotten Como out of it. If I can't even find the details mentioned in the clue, where am I going to find something so detailed as to tell me that she hid out in the Como area for a while? If anything I would have guessed the place of her execution as the relevant location.
I still say even if you knew you had to look for obscure historical references, still no one would have ever gotten this clue. No one. Ever. We should feel like we at least have a shot at it or what fun is it?
To answer your other question, the Mock Hunt is typically between the Medallion Hunt and the Bock Hunt (hence the name). Which generally places it at the end of February or early March. But since this hunt went so long, I'm considering pushing it back a month to give people time to recover. I'm not sure if that's actually necessary though. So I'm going to try and find out on Sunday how people feel and how soon they think they'll be up for another hunt.
Hola! I'm drunk and sleepy. Going to bed. SCD adn MCL.
Frosti- I don't think you're as we drunk are...
Cooler Ian / KB / CC!! Did you say you hid some others in the park as well? Where's that info? I love the Crueler Crew profile name. ;-)

We could've hunted all night!
We did. All you needed to do was howl and we'd howl right back at ya.
You're a pal of WW right? me2 and I ran into him in the warming shack at Como while on a break during clue 11.
Reg, you've met me before. I was talking to you when you were digging on the edge of the woods on Tuesday night. I've seen you down at the PP too in line.
TMK is third next to the unshaven, unwashed, smelly, slimmy lookin' dude.

Uhh, that's not Scribe. That's Me2
I knew everyone in that pic except you, cluemaster! I totally forgot what scribe looks like without her white and black hat on!
Yeah, I think the gang was surprised that I actually shower, shave and wear decent clothes in real life. ;o)
I think he might have been referring to the 1st pix TMK. Not sure tho
