Oh Medallion, Where Art Thou?

Hello all,

I've been hunting for the medallion for the last few years, hoping this year to find it, as does everyone else I'm sure :)

In the spirit of this years hunt, I made a 3D rendering of the snowman with the spyglass that the pioneer press has used as a logo for the hunt. Use it or pass it around as you like, and happy hunting!

Thats excellent Joel! Thanks for sharing with us! Would you mind if we used it on the Cooler Crewsite?

Good luck and happy hunting!

Oh, Leelabell posted a poem yesterday, was wondering if we could use that too (forgot to ask you at the pre-dig).

You guys gotta send us all this great stuff! :-)

noticed that the first letter of each of the four lines is:

AT FT

are we going to be led someplace again, I'm not so sure yet, but I always get suspicious when I see an AT popup as the beginning letters of a puzzle.

Good to see ya MedQueen! I think you summed it up pretty well.

unless the forecast changes, these clues will be generic til about the 5th or 6th clue which will make a lot of us happy just having a hunt that lasts longer than last years!

we want to be challenged! we want this hunt to be intense,

I like the way you think!

green!!!! so good to have you back here among us. btw, me2 and i have hijacked eags' joe. they're ours now :)

no offence intended eags :)

as for the clue, here's what we know. its on public land in ramsey county, with the exception of the capitol grounds. i think the reference to parked, makes for a safe assumption that its in a park. possibly near a church somewhere because of the faith reference.

Guess most of the Crueler Crew is sleeping in this AM. Can't wait to hear the recap of the pre-dig gig.

we've got plenty of pictures to post, eags. most of them will probably be on coolercrew.

note to self: introduce current digital camera to the business end of a baseball bat. take it back to best buy using the replacement plan and get something that takes better pictures in the dark.

Looks like the paper threw a jab at the various treasure hunting factions that lit them up after last years botched hunt..a thought.

RANDOM CAMO THOUGHT
Maybe the mayor of Garage Logic is writing the clues? It has a little more creative look.....A thought.

ya know, camo, i was actually thinking that at mcg's last nite. i would so love to just ask him to write up a set of clues for a mock hunt sometime. i really would.

I have often thought that Joe would be a great clue writer, especially because he loves the winter carnival. However, I am wondering if it is Nick Coleman.

Artemis - go ahead and use the poem.

Terry

Good Morning!

Great to have slept in this morning, but missed the spot on 'CCO. Glad you taped it Ares.

Interesting that everyone seems to think the cruelest crew part of the clue is a jab at the Cooler Crew. I actually think it's just a play on words to indicate that nothing is crueler than someone finding the medallion early. The PP also likes these hunts to go longer as it keeps people buying the paper and keeps their advertisers happy too.

I also think that it indicates they are telling us they are trying harder this year and hopefully we'll have a longer hunt.

In the end, what is better for the PP is a bunch of obsessed hunters participating in their events each night.

Good observations Terry..BTW, this is Scribe, I was to lazy to re-log in. It was good to hang with the girls last night, they're the greatest!
So what was the deal with Ian? Ian, my good friend, it did not occur to you in all those hours to ask a bartender or waitress where we were? MEN! They NEVER will ask for directions, not even in a bar! I was asking where you were ALL NIGHT!! Hope to see you at the PP tonight!
