Have to be present to pick?

Clue Master

We allowed designates last year too.

But it was all done at the PDG. It has to be since all the parks are picked right then.

Pay Me

last year it was all at the predig...I was the one who got the lot of the rest of the parks.

OTiS

I think it should be present to pick. It seems fair.

Clue Master

The people not able to attend empowered their designate to pick for them.
Tue, 01/03/2006 - 11:59 PM Permalink
OTiS

Yes... so if you plan to not be in attendance then get your stand in set up.

Clue Master

Exactly! I don't know if I'm gonna set up a separate discussion for that or not. I really don't think it warrants it as long as it's talked about here. I could add it in the header along with the info on the PDG if needed?
Wed, 01/04/2006 - 12:08 AM Permalink
OTiS

Yeah that works.. no need for another thread...
Wed, 01/04/2006 - 12:16 AM Permalink
Clue Master

How's this for the header?

Pre Dig Gig to be held upstairs at McGoverns Pub Saturday January 21st 7:30 to close.

There will be a park guess lottery conducted for those interested. $5 a guess. Prize amount determined by number of entries submitted. You must be present to guess or designate a stand-in.

Hey - does anyone know - did the cooler crew put in the application to get a unit in either of the winter carnival parades? :sheepish:
Wed, 01/04/2006 - 10:28 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

I'm pretty sure they did not. I was asking a while back. Too many insurance reasons.
Wed, 01/04/2006 - 10:30 AM Permalink
OTiS

Not that I am aware of.....
Wed, 01/04/2006 - 10:34 AM Permalink
diggin4it

Oh Well.....$40.00 per parade anyway. It looks like if you are just a "walking unit" you don't need insurance - but everyone who would participate would have to sign waiver. However the application deadline has come and gone.

It appears to me that the crew would be a novelty unit. Maybe I could volunteer to be the parade coordinator for next year?!

but everyone who would participate would have to sign waiver.

Therin lies the problem. Nobodys here early enough and too hard to get them together to sign one. If you wanna try- go for it. (I'd say Git-er-done, but it's been banned from the english language)

I have a banner we could use if all goes well.

That's a couple years old. I'm almost finished with a new one that's more accurate.

I'll try and post an image this evening. Might be a button if there's enough interest.

Tbe PP folks had us walking with them in years past for the torchlight parade. Perhaps that could happen again.

kitch- how is your hoe search going?

I can't find one big enough. I went to home depot and northern tool today, with no success. I did get a shovel and a small rake.

I'm wondering if I should hold off...

until like week b4...if we keep having this warm weather I'm worried I just need a good rake.

Hey LLB - I think we closed the board at 11:00 last year but I could be wrong? Jake?

Once I felt that I asked just about everyone there, we started drawing. This year I think we'll draw numbers instead of names. That way people know where they are in line right off the bat. Thoughts?
