Clue #1 You've joined the hunt for the regal runt
To prove searching does pay
Don't dig a hole or knock down a pole
And the golf course is out of play

Last year Jake took home the cake
With a clue a bit off level
This year we'll rinse off all our prints
Lest this hunt go to the devil

Clue #2 The point of all this is so that you won't miss
Your big chance to grab all the cash
Now gather your guys and a gal who is wise
You'll have to do something quite rash

Clue #3 We've scanned the county to hide our bounty
And keep you on your toes
It may sound risible, but our puck's invisible
Although it might just stick to your nose.

Clue #4 How fun is the snow how far will we go
You really ought to go see
Get up for the mission and not just the wishin'
Get into the game-it's all free

Clue #5 There once was a clue that drove you-know-who
To threaten a heinous act
We'd use it again but we're afraid of his pen
My friend, that's an unfortunate fact

Clue #6 All ye who look should honor the book
As one who stood for hope
Much was built in the name of the kilt
Look sharp now and never mope

Clue #7 If you should go look high then low
One could see it from a bower
If it's your bent you might seek a tent
To protect in case of shower

Take note of the wood and do what you should
To extract the prize for yourself
Build a bridge to your dreams as high as they seem
Leave nothing behind on the shelf

Clue #8 Look at the buck to acquire good luck
In finding the grail this year
Link a jar,a line, a star lawyer divine
While crying in your beer

He won, then lost and the nation was tossed
Into strife that was far from civil
The point I'm making is yours for the taking
Believe me - not the message board drivel

Clue #9 This name brings tears, elation and cheers
And occasionally even outrages
It sits on walls and rides the halls
And fills a dozen pages

The hills are alive and you'll have arrived
Refrain from the very injurious
Be bold and be brave but your skin you must save
What's off-limits should frankly be obvious

Clue #10 Look for the sight you hope is just right
You're doubtful and you're torn
Make the rounds for what rhymes with grounds
And part of a rose with a horn

Through flames and flow this park where you'll go
Is the site of sacred relics
Stay away from these and the cliffs if you please
Or you'll be in a heckuva fix

Clue #11 Air and river sounds lead all to Mounds
Far from the graves take your entourage
Twixt Burns and Thorn, an icy pathway is born
Across Mounds from a gray house and tan garage

Hell no fury hath as those on the wrong path
Mounds and Warner form a woodsy perimeter
The path not official contains footprints beneficial
Some 300 trudges in - quest for a quitter

This trail you must follow goes down a narrow hollow
Under a fallen tree to an old rusted drum
From here you must search for a hillside path perch
Wherein lies the center of fun

You sure? I'm so used to seeing you around here... You've never come out to a Re-Hash Bash or Pre-Dig Gig? Feels like you have!

Well, come Sunday. You like pot lucks? Art's bringing his Hepititus Wings, I'm bringing my DEVIL-ed Eags - at his request. We usually have Sloppy Joe Medallions courtesy of Ian.

You seem to like us and you gotta like food...

Don't be ashamed! Just fix it!

I don't think I have the personal endurance to slog the 500 or so posts since last night. Can someone please explain to me the "teleconference".

OMG!!! I'm getting everyone addicted. My boyfriend has been staying up until 2am the past few nights noodling the clues with me (He's, also, gotten his roommate and co-workers into noodling, too.) and my dad has been out hunting the last couple of days, including last night. He's addicted! He won't admit it but I have proof as of a few minutes ago. After looking from midnight until 4am, we decided we weren't going to go back out in the frigid temps today or tonight. Well, after learning about the conference call, I've been sitting here second-guessing that decision all day. I just called him to ask if we were really not going to go out tonight and he said, "What time should I pick you up?" lol We'll be at IM by 10:30pm tonight! Where is everyone planning to park/meet? Are we spreading out like last year or gathering in one central area? What time is everyone planning to get there? Oh, the excitement and the tension...

Speaking of the RHB, Allison, from what others have posted, there is a desire to continue the potluck tradition so if noon works for you, I'll have Ares put the lodge location and time up on coolercrew.com

I worked with him today by email to get details up except location.

I think in that case, we'll be by that dirt path that goes into the woods, inbetween those two big rocks....

that path that heads down into the dagobah swamp

im confused...

are we doing the re-hash at the same place as last year?

I just saw stuff in the other folder, talking about the basement at Obbs, and/or the park...

If we're doing it indoors, because of the weather, I vote for Obbs, as its nearest to the park....

Oh! I'm so glad to learn you got that genetic thighy fixed in your family! I just knew if you and T'tots dug it you had to get the gene from somewhere!

You go, girlfriend! Bring the heathens into the Light! Show them the way!

Noon would be fine. We have a TV at the lodge now. I could bring a DVD player if we wanted to pop in a movie.

Nick - doing a potluck would not work at a restaurant. The potluck is tradition and Allison's lodge will be warm and a nice place to gather for luck of the pot.

Don't feel bad. Or, rather, you have company in that department:) I've been an "original" member and have, yet, to meet most everyone. I met AW this past summer and know of Ian through a mutual friend. I've never been to a pre-gig dig bash (This year, I thought was going to be the year but work kept me away once again.) and I'm involved in my town's hot air balloon festival which happens to occur on the same day as the re-hash bash. One of these days...

If you're having a bonfire down that path, there's a nice pile of cut up wood not too far in on the left side. Everyone pick up an armful and you'll be set.

I've made the decision to come out to the park tonight I must be insane but oh well whats a little frost bite that turns to ganggreen? LOL A person can live with 6 toes and 8 fingers right? Hopefully I catch up with some of you out there. I know where I "think it is" but I'm sure its all been looked over. Good luck to all tonight.

1998 was my first hunt and I know I was posting at the PP since that time, so I think that technically makes me a long-timer. Where do the years go.

Does "No Time for Cold Feet" show a final night's mad dash? My brother thinks I'm a lunatic and taking our dad down with me. lol He has no idea how many people participate in the hunt, especially at night. When I told him we left at 4am this morning, he about died! He said that's a perfect time to be shot!!! I told him we weren't alone but he had a hard time believing that. Perhaps, if I had proof...

Well Evil come to the Re-Hash have a great time and meet some new friends. For years I was so afraid to go to the pre dig and rehash bash because I didn't know anyone even thought I talked to everyone every year online I'm glad I finally started going because these people are all great!

I agree with what AW said about the hunt being fun because of the people. I've told several people that through out this hunt I don't drag my butt down town each night because I really believe I'll find the medallion...I do it because you are all great people and fun to be around. IF I happen to find the puck it's because I tripped over a stick and landed on the darn thing...

I will be at the park onh the conference call on the bridges/cherry end of the park. unless i get cold and end up in Obb's again.

This wind reminds me of diggin with Santa Dave. He never seamed to get cold.

to you noodlers who are bummed. It sure will be more fun to share the excitment with you when I(or another cooler member) finds it!!

So nice to see you getting out and about. I remember a (couple?) year(s) where you were out of town during the Hunt.

Nice that's not the case this year!

Tis true! The first time I went out, it was the final night. I was not old enough to drive so my parents called my ex-boyfriend to drive me. I HATED that but I wanted to hunt SO bad. My dad wouldn't go with me, then. It was in Hidden Falls Park and I walked right by that stickin' diaper! The year was 1992, maybe?

I've been looking for it every since, that is, when I've been living around here. I missed the years when I was in college and, also, when I was living the snowboarder's dream out West. Fortunately, when I was out West, I had internet access and noodled as much as I could find helpful. Now, every year, I take a week's vacation to look. Thankfully, my job as a flight attendant allows for that kind of flexibility.

Like I stated earlier, the last two year's I've managed to get my dad out which makes the hunt even more rewarding. I did get him out a few years ago, too, at 3am when I knew for certain it was in Highland Park! Yeah, I was wrong:(

This year, it's been double the pleasure. I'm dating an AMAZING man and he continues to surprise me, such as staying up late to help noodle (despite an early work time), being available by phone late into the night when a lightbulb has gone off, and putting up with my medal madness! lol

TMK didn't let me live that down for a long time. I took a vacation again this year however I came back the opening day for Clue one I only missed the pre dig. I haven't seen you out this year at all...Then again I didn't go to Chair O Key at all and BAttle Creek I only went to twice Don't you ever make it down to the paper?

We plan on being at the park - but only to watch for a wee bit to see where everyone runs to and to have the pleasure of being in that park.

Then back home and into bed. I best be able to take vacation next year. This hunting and working at the same time is exhausting.

I've not this year made it down to the paper.

I spent all day yesterday in BC. Was in Mounds a bit but left when nothing I saw was making me happy. Prior to - jeez... What day was it? Fri? Sat? - I was in quite a few parks. Alone. Trying to make things fit. Then one o'those days I was wwwwaaaayyyy over to the Maplewood side o'BC and then down Burns. That's when things started to mesh for me. At least for the general area.
