Hallowicked Hunt

Submitted by Clue Master on

Clue #1 -
If you want to get an "A" in this hunt
Brush UP on your history
Ramsey is the location
And Gilbert Godfrey is half of the mystery
We follow Ma Press for this hunt
No destroying the land
Keep it on public property
And soon you will have medallion in hand

Clue # 2 -
For just one bet, venture through this wonderful exhibit
Think you know me? Fool you know nothing
But know this hunt will fool even the best of you
This hunt will be the hardest thing you will do

Clue # 3 -

If you think you’re tough enough to step into this ring
Think again
Is this your clue??
I don’t know, guess so

Clue # 4

Think high but look low
Don't follow the flow
This is not going to be as fast as you think
Some may look North, while some might look South
Just never look West

Clue # 5

If you overlook Merriam
You're in the right frame of mind
Just walk down the aisle
And think of the Right place in time

Clue # 6

Some may not call me a park
But some of you may
Right now they say I am
But not back in the day
So think about this while you hunt for the prize
This one is finally the right size

Clue # 7

In this, 1 of 6 hunts, no Mound can be found
But the native beacon can be seen for miles around
Surrounded by spirits and ghosts
To the West-Northwest you can see my post
And if you’re close you may have seen
An extra clue, for your sickness, a vaccine

Though I wanted to check the overlook today, I was more convinced it was in Vento Nature (venture) snctuary (not park).

Heres some of my thoughts.

Clue #1 -

If you want to get an "A" in this hunt

Brush UP on your history

Ramsey is the location

And Gilbert Godfrey is half of the mystery

We follow Ma Press for this hunt

No destroying the land

Keep it on public property

And soon you will have medallion in hand

================================

/ taped up some where under something?

/ cass gilbert capitol architect? Says in St Paul

================================

Clue # 2 -

For just one bet, venture through this wonderful exhibit

Think you know me? Fool you know nothing

But know this hunt will fool even the best of you

This hunt will be the hardest thing you will do

==================================

wonderful exhibit=wilder St by merriam park

back to the capitol with jesse ventura/gilbert?

como zoo, one bet exibit?

If were guessing letters I'd say T for Mr T fool

the A Team

hardest thing.." diamond

wonderful Exhibit in Vento sanctuary/new statues by enterance to vento are in a ring

=================================

Clue # 3 -

If you think youÂ’re tough enough to step into this ring

Think again

Is this your clue??

I donÂ’t know, guess so

=========================

If you think youÂ’re tough enough to step into this ring/ wedding ring -merriam

Wilder St by merriam?

gotta head to Jesse's old place (capitol)

ring of fire =cono

boxing ring /wrestling

can't think of anything tougher (and that I was less prepared for) than a wedding ring...Como wedding photos

Ring is the exhibit in vento sancturary/new statues

======================================

Clue # 4 -

Think high but look low

But donÂ’t follow the flow

This is not going to be as fast as you think

Some of you look to the North for this, but some of you look to the South

Well we never look West, but always East

  • ******first post*********************** Clue # 4

    Think high but look low

    Don't follow the flow

    This is not going to be as fast as you think

    Some may look North, while some might look South

    Just never look West
  • *********redacted clue******************* =======================================

    BC? Creek? River?

    East St Paul???not west north or south

    Below mounds?-Vento=Venture=Vento /Nature

    dont follow flow/go right in vento away from water

    bridge is high, look below it

    if you dont go with flow it would be up one of the drainpipes under the bridge

    thats also think high (bridge) but look low

    =======================================

    Clue # 5

    If you overlook Merriam

    You're in the right frame of mind

    Just walk down the aisle

    And think of the Right place in time

    ==========================================

    overlook @ merrium? Gilbert St is across 94 from merriam park

    John Merriams mansion was used as one of the locations for the Science Museum. It was located behind the now state capitol (its no longer there but you could probably google Merriam and find it) ... nyhow its near the Cass Gilbert overlook - since overlook was in the same line.

    Capitol R- letters to find =A-I -R

    go down aisle/right place in time= Merriam lane?/memory lane

    Go down road from mounds overlook to Vento and go right?

    Road goes "right" from mounds overlook to get to vento?

    new vento connection trail includes an overlook from an abandoned rail bridge over Fourth Street

    ===========================================

    Clue # 6

    Some may not call me a park

    But some of you may

    Right now they say I am

    But not back in the day

    So think about this while you hunt for the prize

    This one is finally the right size

    ===========================================

    back in the day =Prior St by merriam

    Roblyn st by merriam, orig part of Rondo st was torn up by I94

    and now is back through this park

    merriam was a railroad suburb not a park

    Used to have brewery, RR station etc in Vento

    some may call park/some nature sancturary

    also a new trail just opened like last week connecting vento/swede/ downtown on 4th st

    ==========================================

    Clue # 7

    In this, 1 of 6 hunts, no Mound can be found

    But the native beacon can be seen for miles around

    Surrounded by spirits and ghosts

    To the West-Northwest you can see my post

    And if youÂ’re close you may have seen

    An extra clue, for your sickness, a vaccine

    ============================================

    BONUS CLUE:

    If you found this you know

    you're in the wrong park

    But not in the dark

    For some place near down town

    In a memorial park

    is the treasure your seekin

    and from that spot

    you can see this here beacon

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    found at the light beacon at mounds park

    ======================================

    Memorial park is Vento

    Surrounded by spirits/Wakan Tipi or house of spirits by the Dakota

    West-Northwest you can see my post

    Kellog bridge post? 6 posts of 3rd st bridge on

    mrmnmikey

    continued

    Kellog bridge post? 6 posts of 3rd st bridge on W/NW side of park

    Bridge is west/ NW border of park

    For decades, the land was left degraded and vacant until 1997

    Im glad everybody enjoyed it....

    I wanted to do a hunt for the longest time, also...

    glad that Iceman asked for team input on it....

    myself and steve had a buncha clues written, for a hunt we wanted to do, a long time ago, that I dont know what ever happened to...

    but this was a good opportunity to jump into it....

    hopefully the next one(s) we do, turn out as good...

    we researched those clues, and that park like hell though....

    like I said earlier, im surprised that a lot of our clues fit Merriam as well as they did - and that was without us even trying or knowing until it was too late...

    which in itself is kinda funny too, given that the two places have a kind of connection....

    when we placed that letter "R" at Merriam, that was my first time being back there since the winter carnival hunt... where me and steve left the Faygo 3 liters, and the note, at the rec-center, the night before the re-hash, explaining why we couldnt make it....

    so that was kinda neat.... being back there and all....

    anybody know what ever happened to that note?

    I thought i remembered sombody saying that they kept it...

    It's always tons of fun getting together with ppl you like and working out clues.. from 9pm to 5am, I might add. It was also fun seeing you guys try and figure out what park it's at.

    BTW, 3M.. stick with your first instincts in all of the hunts, specially the big one! :wink:

    one thing I could do without though, is those ones in the ads on certain pages, where if you even happen to hover your mouse on them by accident, they yell at you...

    "OH MY GOD....NO WAY!!!!"

    "SAY SOMETHING!!"

    ICEMAN

    Up Close and Personal with a Killer. When I was finally admitted into the bowels of Trenton State Prison in New Jersey’s capital to interview multiple murderer Richard Kuklinski, a.k.a. “the Iceman,” it wasn’t at all what I had expected. My assumption was that it would be like the movies. We’d be separated by a shatter-proof glass barrier. We’d communicate through telephone handsets. There would be guards all around watching our every move. But I couldn’t have been more wrong. Clarice Starling had more protection when she visited Dr. Hannibal “the Cannibal” Lector in The Silence of the Lambs. At least she had bars.

    I talked to the guy who writes the clues for the Belle Plain Treasure Hunts (one on St. Patrick's and one around the end of July). He was at the haloween hoopla event out at Crosby today. Nice guy, he's a geocacher as well. He was looking for ways to write better clues, so I told him about the forums here. Who knows, perhaps he'll drop in.

    we checked that video out too...

    thought it was funny, how when he started talking about a murder, he would sometimes smile, and laugh....

    like the guy he killed on christmas....
