2010 Allison Wonderland Mock Hunt

Submitted by ares on

Here is today's new clue:

Clue #11

To get this hunt done count to twenty one

YouÂ’d best not worry about staying clean

Twixt Heaven and hell, itÂ’s so hard to tell

Perhaps itÂ’s better to stay in between

And the previous clues:

Clue #10

If the mire and muck just make you think "Yuck"

Then I fear the truth is sure to displease

If big juicy flies make you appetize

You will surely find the treasure with ease.

Clue #9

With waters opaque, this park has a lake

But you'd be best off to search somewhere dry

Though poetic prose is written in rows

Columns will tell where the treasure is nigh

Clue #8

Hear hungry grumbles as Neptune tumbles

He looks to be tipsie, blind and confused

You'll see his crown looking up, not down

Nearby you'll find the treasure is reclused.

Clue #7

On a summer day, you'll hear music play

But for now only the wind whistles by

People on the go moving to and fro

Not far is a place to stay high and dry

Clue #6

Ghosts of the past from the elite caste

Of triumphant hunters linger nearby

But that exact spot, the treasure is not,

Yet to cross the road is to go awry

Clue #5

You're all still alive at clue number five

Though names of the dead are found all around.

It won't be a breeze if weak in the knees

Back to the start might be advice profound

Clue #4

Looking for a fright? It's quiet at night

Trees loom large on the edge of open space

If treasure you seek, you may want to peek

On grounds where you can search more than one place

Clue #3

Round and round you go, who is in the know?

Another creature besides the rabbit.

Before you head out maybe think about

Adding a cyber bit to your habit

Clue #2

Should you turn back? No, just one way to go

Your map will help you to see your way through.

Yes this truth is stark, go look in a park.

But don't stray too far from the patch of blue

Clue #1

Embark if you dare, and don't quickly scare

Oh, in this hunt you'll have something to fear

Essential to the prize are some unblinking eyes

Teeter not if your resolve is sincere

This is but clue one and when it is done

You may choose to smack your head and gasp "Duh"

Though snow may be gone the hunt will go on

And you will still have to search huhhuhhuh

I heard the same ugly rumor from the spy woodpecker.

There was a boat load of folks where we were.

And Jake.

Yeah!! It was awesome seeing her out there. G-Spot Rulez!

Yeah, can you believe it, Allison? This old dog is being taught new tricks.

Quite fun! Warmer for one thing. Went with Chesty and Ares and saw Mr. Mikey and Penny , and Me2 and My Master, who let me sit on his big deck. It was WONDERFUL to see friends I've not seen for YEARS. No one's changed. It was a really good time. We laughed and laughed. We wondered if I, as a first time unregistered Mocker, would kick it up after hunting for only 10 minutes. Didn't happen. I am excited I was able to somewhat successfully noodle some of your clues as I think you write hard clues. It was a good, good time.

So, it should still be out there if not hidden in a green do-nut. Or if Jake didn't find it.

But why then didn't the spy hawk alight closer to the pines last night? Why land where he did?
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:17 AM Permalink

Mikey, the spy hawk had no time to get down the hill and across the road. We highlighted the hill area with the van's bright lites and by the time we redrove back up where we and the spy hawk had parked, the spy hawk had flown the coop.

just thinking...in between would be midway...in a black sabbath cd case? Heaven & Hell?
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:25 AM Permalink
green

The path is midway. The one between the road/the blue thighy and fly eater, and the crest of the hill. My take enkneeweigh.

I really like the the CD case idea! GREAT idea!

Does enkneebuddy know the size of this thing and what ittiz? Is it still the big jewel? That would not fit in a CD case.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:36 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

no its the same size as the medallion. Same color too. Has pic of AW silouette on it and his phone #
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:39 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

actually is probably too thick to fit in a CD case...
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:40 AM Permalink
green

That is too cute! Very fitting. Is he a white bunny or a black-clad handsome gentleman?
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:45 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

Black clad guy with hat on
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:46 AM Permalink
green

Well. There went that idea. Still I like the heaven/hell idea. Maybe wrapped in the CD sleeve thighy?

I got down under I don't know how many trees last nite. Until the fear of going elbow and knee deep in dog crap became greater than the want of finding The Medallion.

It was a great time. So good to see you, Mikey. Your eyes were warm and your smile shone in them.

If dog rabbit and I could turn back the hands of time and the three o'us had been more on the stick... i'd have dropped to the ground, sent the rest on to the van, and slithered like a snake on my belly after the spy hawk.

Could you imagine the fearful hawk screams when I picked up that Medallion?
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 7:56 AM Permalink
ares

didn't find the treasure last night. however, i did find a decapitated white rabbit out there. mikey said he found its head. an omen perhaps?

I found some friends and an apprecition for hunting with NO SNOW.

I twittered between

And saw something sheen

Which had me totally distracted

I may have miss acted

My undercover actions

In search near the mansions

With ponds filled with Gobys

and Ghosts of the Gatsbys

Alas the the Hawk was in sight

Which made me take flight

Hmmm, so is no one thinking Lilydale then?
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 8:40 AM Permalink
green

With such spy hawk activity in Como? I would think lilydale's a birdbrained idea.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 8:48 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Maybe the spy hawk was just tipsie, blind, and confused
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 8:50 AM Permalink
green

It was a spy hawk on a mission and totally busted.

Flew purposefully in a bee-line. I knew it it was the spy hawk well before the rest o'my group by the spy hawks chararestic flight. And spy hawk demeanor. I called out, "You dig?" And the spy hawk screeched out in fear as it circled, "WHO ARE YOU?!"

The spy hawk continued on to his destination and objective and, as I said above, quickly returned to where he had temporarily roosted and was then gone in mere minutes.

I don't think Lilydale, but I've been wrong before and will be again. (shrugs)

So who wont scare, or really care

and not have any fear?

who will be tipsy, and go for the dippy

and go check out the frogs rear?
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:30 AM Permalink
green

That's good! LOL!
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:33 AM Permalink
ares

given my history, the idea occurred to me

to check where the sun isn't shining

but with pond waters deep, perhaps even two feet,

the lack of waders left me pining
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:38 AM Permalink
green

I could be the one to not scare or really care.

And not have any fear.

I'd not be tipsie and go for the dippy,

And tell the spy hawk to kiss my rear.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:41 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

You will not need waders to find the treasure just in case anyone was actually wondering.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:42 AM Permalink
ares

wondered i not, whether up the frog's butt

would be a good place to hide the treasure

but the mere guise, of appetizing flies

well the idea did cause me some pleasure.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:44 AM Permalink
green

I knew that. The spy hawk would have been caught dead to rights in the lights of the van had he checked out the frog's butt.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:45 AM Permalink

damn i'm getting good at this poetry stuff.

Great!!!!!!!!!!!
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:47 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

Then strap up young buck, and go through the muck

don't worry 'bout stayin' clean

just go down the middle, and try not to piddle

and check the frog inbetween
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:48 AM Permalink
ares

bwah! but it should have been strap up young buck to get the rhyming right.

with pond waters high, and this treasure hunt nigh

to check up the frog's wazoo,

despite the bad habit, pointed out by the rabbit,

would require going out in a canoe
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:55 AM Permalink
ares

thanks eags. i had no idea i had it in me. i oughtta do one of these some day. who'da thunk you could manage to get the word wazoo into a potential clue.
Tue, 03/23/2010 - 9:57 AM Permalink
green

I'd not worry about clean, or any one's inbetweens

Wouldn't an old woman do, being dirty and mucked?

I would mite piddle, ittiz old age it seems,

But the spy hawk go get fucked.
