I just noticed that this hunt is bi-annual.

So, they'll be twice a year we can do this.

Except.... this is a new company.

Who knows if they'll be around for the second hunt?

cocorosie

sweet! i've also been wondering if we are lucky these hunts might be slightly easier than i think because they want everyone to get involved. maybe a little less precise and accurate and hard in comparison to the WC hunt.

so....

if #1 is "saint"??

then the him is paul?

or is there another paul that it could be referring to?

KC0GRN

I got an area to check out in st paul, wonder if it could actually be there....

Good noodling on the rest, I tend to like TMK's line of thought, they're just naming cities/areas in this clue

re:#3 I haven't heard much talk of it. MINBIN likes to think of itself as a place for Minnesota, so maybe it's saying Minnesota's big brother? Canada? If it's a city, perhaps it's little canada. I know it's a stretch though.

Wicked Nick

little canada would kinda sorta make sense too, if you wanna throw those mouse things into the equation...

KC0GRN

I was just going for the big brother little brother thing.

Maplewood is my area though, would be nice if one ends up there. I'm guessing it's a clue a day, so... 11 clues? If they want to get publicity or notice to their site, I doubt there'll be enough information before the 5th clue unless someone gets lucky.

MINBIN.com is a new web portal for Minnesotans, by Minnesotans. We just launched the classifieds and personals service. You can try them out for free. We will be adding Auctions, Dining Guide, and much more in the next month. We were started out of a basement in NE Minneapolis, and are now working near downtown. Stop by today.

I really liked Mucky's U of M noodle! Little Canada could work for the other clue, too

#5 could mean Lakeville, too...but that's getting on the (former) outskirts of the cities.

I guess I'm confused to what they mean as a "public place". Does that include indoor area such as schools, community centers, public sidewalks, etc." :eyeroll:

Sat, 10/22/2005 - 6:18 AM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

but school/playground would be dumb since kids will be out there during the week. so yeah, maybe a nature center. but nature centers are all anal about people going in there and messing things up.

There actually is such a day, we used to celebrate it at our elementary. They used as a teaching opportunity to learn MN history.

I guess we're not sure how well this org. knows all the legalites and obstacles with treasure hunting. There rules weren't very specific. Usually the lawyers are all over it with protecting from problem arising. Who know what their definition of "public place" means?
Sat, 10/22/2005 - 6:29 AM Permalink
