It's from one of my new favorite songs - Toes by the Zach Brown Band

I got my toes in the water, toes in the sand

Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand

Life is good today. Life is good today.

Well, the plane touched down just about 3 o'clock

And the city's still on my mind

Bikinis and palm trees danced in my head

I was still in the baggage line

Concrete and cars are there own prison bars

like this life I'm living in

But the plane brought me farther.

I'm surrounded by water

And I'm not going back again

I got my toes in the water, toes in the sand

Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand

Life is good today. Life is good today.

Adios and vaya con dios

Yeah I'm leaving GA

And if it weren't for tequila and pretty senoritas

I'd have no reason to stay

Adios and vaya con dios

Yeah I'm leaving GA

Gonna lay in the hot sun and roll a big fat one

And grab my guitar and play

Four days flew by like a drunk Friday night as the summer

drew to an end

They couldn't believe that I just couldn't leave

And I bid adieu to my friends

Because my bartender she's from the islands

Her body's been kissed by the sun

And coconut replaces the smell of the bar and I don't know if its her or the rum

I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand

Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand

Life is good today. Life is good today.

Adios and vaya con dios

A long way from the lake

Its where all the muchachas they call me "big poppa" when I throw pesos their way

Adios and vaya con dios

A long way from GA

Someone do me a favor and pass me the Jaeger

And I'll grab my guitar and play

Adios and vaya con dios

Going home now to stay

The senoritas don't care-o when there's no dinero

You got no money to stay

Adios and vaya con dios

Going home now to stay

With my ass in a lawn chair

And toes in the clay

Not a worry in the world a PBR on the way

Life is good today. Life is good today.

enjoy: scoring a Matt Williams Jersey off Ebay Canada for my boyfriend for $19.99. Even with Shipping it's like $27. Since he's a "has been" you can't find his stuff anywhere.

He is going to be soooo thrilled!

and this will learn me not to bet him that the Gnat can't win more than 75 games in a season. oops.. who knew they wouldn't suck this year?

oh believe you me.. I will score from that purchase. Hopefully several times. :0)

enjoy of the day - Yahoo Music Radio, I can listen to music all around the US/World.

BTW - if any of you are interested, Alice 97.3 with Sarah and Vinnie out of SF is one of the choices, they have an amazing morning show, if you need some new variety :0)

If you want variety, as well as the newest in Techno and Disco type music (yes I said new and Disco in the same sentence) you should listen to BFBS radio... It is the only station in English here. Except when they have english programs on one of the local stations, then they talk very slowly so the locals can understand them. They play better music than the british though... they just don't play much

as long as you find me white sand beaches, aqua waters and sunshine - I'm in. I know they start at those rates but do want something as close to the water as possible and not 20th floor somewhere... I want to walk right out on to the beach - none of the traffic. I'm okay with 3 or 4 days/nights. mostly cause I really still hope to have a job soon and won't have that much time free to get away.

A ghost town. Fall is a great time to go to FL. Hurricane season does peak about Sept. 10th or so, so there is always that risk. Hurricanes tend to form rapidly in the Gulf this time of the year.

Congratulations, me2!!! That is awesome!

What will you be doing there? Which department.

I worked Clinical/Quality for 10 years at a medical device company - can probably point you to some background info if you are looking to reduce the learning curve quickly.

Whoohoo - I am so happy for you!

Once you get in, check out the Medical Device Alliance and Life Science Alley groups. They do a lot of peer-to-peer education and networking.

Got to town - checked into room and downed a drink - headed to first bar - us 3 older gals raced two younger gals in slamming a drink served in a fishbowl.. we won.. proceeded to get a severe hot flash - threw up drink and dinner... ready for next bar, beer and jello shots - had ass grabbed several times.... next bar, danced with some 20 something boy, he telling my other 2 friends "your mom is so cool"... back to room for mellow time, head up to 2nd room to soak feet in hot tub.. several dirty text messages to others down here and it's time for bed.

Good first 5 hours to the weekend!

If St. Jude likes you, you might want to see how quickly you can get promoted there into something that *is* a career position. When I worked for AMS, there were people who worked in the clean rooms who learned everything they could about the devices, the quality processes, etc., and soon were doing medical device reporting or clinical research support, and then into full clinical research or marketing or sales or purchasing or whatever interests them.

And if St. Jude is not exactly your cup of tea, once you have some medical device company experience, it will make it that much easier to get into another medically-related company, if you want. And there are dozens of them in the twin cities!

Good luck!

I worked at AMS from 1991 - 2001, in Medical Device Reporting for three years, then in Clinical for seven years. How long has your son worked there?

enjoy: I am starting my 10th our of time and a half right now, and won't be leaving for another 2 hours. the best part is -- all the 'work' is done. Now I'm just killing time waiting.

sad I'll be missing my soccer game tonight, but the $ I made during missing the game, pays for my entire session. (so I won't cry)
