Going back to 40 hour work weeks next week.

They've hired several temps around the plant because orders are picking up... My part of plant - the sign shop - business is still completely dried up, so I've been 'temp'-ing work for every other assembly line in the building.

Still kinda bummed I can't work at what I was hired to do, but I think we've ran the gauntlet of layoffs for now - and I'm still getting a paycheck.

What ever happened to yahoo hotjobs? Thats how I got my current job, but now when I search all that seems to show up is the army, navy and temp agancies.

I checked on career builder and theres all kinds of jobs listed with the same search terms.

Guess Yahoo's out of it eh?

the ONLY e-mails I got from Monster and Career Builders have been sales/commission and insurance companies. all crap!

I've gotten phone calls from temp agencies off of those sites though

YES!!!!!! Sarah and I grew GRASS in the backyard!

OMG! we are soooo excited! We almost gave up and then this morning there is an inch out there! only a small 3 ft by 9 ft section by the side of the pool ....but WE DID IT!

oh there are jobs out there - but going up against 100 to 1000 other applicants for one .... and they don't pay enough to pay my house payment and car payment and LIVE---- not just be alive but really enjoy life!

I fell on my butt trying to shoot the duck the other night skating!

and then earlier this week, I decided to cook a duck. a whole one.

and had no idea that the suckers came with the heads and webbed feet still attached... I don't think I've screamed like that in a long time.

I actually had a super hard time shooting the duck the last time I went skating. What a difference a few years makes. It felt like my foot was 70 pounds for Gods sake. :coolfrown:

Getting lots of comments from old people about my Yarussos shirt at my visit to the doctors office.

Also the doc telling me I'm good for a year on my physical without having to go through the finger treatment!!
