enjoy - finding out that a favorite local band will be playing for free a few blocks from my house, out at Phalen in a couple weeks, in one of their "concert in the park" deals
I agree. It looks like both cities are actually one from that spot along 94. I had a boss who lived in that area who claimed that his house was seen as the highest point a person can live in the twin cities. Apparently the only higher points were the 3 buildings in downtown Mpls.
people were tearing them down from the windows at Oakdale, like crazy, so I grabbed me one too.... on one side it has that, and on the other side, is just the poster with the huge face of Captain Jack Sparrow
a (mostly) awesome weekend. Fri - got to see a really good old friend, who I haven't seen in 5 years. Sat - a baby shower for one of my girls who I totally adore - Sat Night dinner and Miggs Concert with my Boy...
It goes to show that something always goes wrong at a wedding. Trying to make everything perfect is pointless.
At my wedding... the organist was like 102 years old and sucked (we had no choice in the matter). We forgot the bride and groom champagne glasses and the cake cutter. Not only that but my cousin who I simply asked to videotape the ceremony, decided she was going to tape EVERYTHING and do a major motion picture with 3 cameras, monitors, sound board the whole nine yards. Then she was going to edit and splice and put graphics and music and put it on DVD. Which would have been nice but we've been married 4 years and have yet to see this DVD.
 :eyeroll:
The worst thing I've seen go wrong was at my best friend's wedding. Her mother in law had a heart attack at the reception. She turned out OK but the reception was over quickly and they spent half the night at the hospital with her.
I can speak from personal experience on the movie editing stuff. It sounds great in theory, but putting it into practice takes LOTS of time and effort. And I do mean LOTS.
Ditto. Maybe she bit off more than she can chew on the project. I know that when I was asked about the DVD I was putting together for the last wedding I taped, I let them know to look for it on their 10 year anniversary. That way I could also see if they could make it long enough to make it worth my while.
If I were paid I'd have it done faster. This was a favor and I already gave them the raw stuff anyway.
you are hilarious, cm. i love that idea. and yeah any sort of video editing is a hell of a lot of work. i'd love to put something together with the sirens of ti show at treasure island when we're in vegas next week, so that the camera doesn't slop around catching both sides of the action, but i know how much work the video is gonna be and i don't have that much free time.
It was an accident. Not sure exacly how it happened, looked like just too much of a hug. I really like the kids (Carter) expression too. Looks like he's reacting to the event, even though I don't think he had a clue to what was going on. (he's only 2)
I don't think I should post the video anywhere yet. They may get mad at me with out permission. I may have already went over the line posting the pic. Just don't tell her ok?
he was probably trying to impress Whitney but I can't say that I don't try.
I was getting ready for work and decided to lay on the bed for a minute and watch him before going in... just as he comes on...the phone rings....I forgot I had a researcher in at 10 am!!!! I ran out the door with wet hair and got to work in 5 minutes! missed the show.
We got our house. Our timing was perfect. We waited 10 days between our 2nd offer and our final offer. They had lots of showings this past weekend, but NO offers. So when we gave our final offer, they weren't thrilled with it, but their realtor said "hey do you want to sell your house or not? These are the only people that have showed any interest." So if everything goes right we should be closing at the end of the month. We won't be moving in right away because we want to make some improvement with the kitchen first.
You'd never think it looked like that from the outside. Very spacious.
Yeah I know. That room is an addition. When they added that, they turned the old living room into a large dining room. The rest of the house is nothing to brag about. It's a typical 80's split level. The huge living room, the huge fenced in yard, the huge deck with pool and hot tub, and the park behind the house is what sold us. Plus it's at the end of a dead end road.
It's a little bittersweet though. We're moving closer to my family, but further away from my husband's family. (A plus in my book.. ssshhh) But I've gotten accustomed to living in the city and there are parts I'll miss - close to shopping, variety of restaurants, close to work, close to St. Paul parks for nuerotic medallion hunting.
But I have to keep reminding myself what I missed about living in the country. Fresh air, peace and quiet, no crime.
the country always seems to win out in my book Tates. (although being able to walk around the corner from my house and get really really good chow mein and food from the taco truck @ 2 am is pretty dang slick..)
that's a good idea. i might have to try it
homemade ice cream and to top it off, my boss brought 5 bottles of wine!!!!
(one of my co-workers out there is moving to South Carolina for school and work -the party was out there).
Did you know you/I can see the Cathedral and downtown St Paul from Larpentuer and Cleveland?!! WOW!
You can see MPLS from various spots on Maryland, over here on the East Side, too
2nd row seats, and backstage VIP passes for next Tuesday's WWE Smackdown tapings & ECW live show on Sci-Fi!!!
Look for me on TV.... im invading two networks!

wow- the costumes and scenery are amazing!
storyline is a little lacking.
the 3 seconds at the super end that we waited FOREVER for are good. Thats the most credits I've EVER seen for a movie.
I would love to someday lay on a white sand beach and look at that breathtaking baby blue water someday ----wow
I love this poster
cool! I want one!

I need to see that video, you should host it on youtube or something.

cause I can get taco supremes and drench them in the Hot Wing sauce, along with orders of popcorn chicken equally drenched in hotwing sauce.
I guess really, I just enjoy the hot wing sauce and everything else is a vehicle for it to get from the little package into my mouth. :pbpt:
B-U-M-M-E-R!!!!
He should be on between 10-10:45 thismorning.
I'm hoping she gets to stand by him on the show. we'll see.
