Being at work, when it's sunny and nice outside, and I have way better things I could be doing with my time - like finishing the work at my house, or working on my grandparents house

83 degrees out. I suppose it's about time to cut out the coffee for the summer (nah, I'm not big on the iced stuff).

Anyone know of a good caffeine substitute that doesn't involve pop? I looked at some iced tea today but couldn't find anything with caffeine in it.

an ice tea maker... is great - you can brew it yourself, stuff it in big bottles and shove in the fridge - that has caffine.

I like the Maui blend from Trader Joes.

Iced Coffee is good too tho.

hmm good idea, and cheap in the long run.

yeah. I do the sun tea thing in the summer - leave it on my patio all day - come home and it's ready. depending on how much you drink - get to jars, and always have one brewing.

Or get the type that you can make in your coffee pot.

A broken main under my basement floor. It might be the waste but it's not stinky, so hopefully not! Whatever it is, it's coming through a crack in the foundation. There is no floor drain in this old house.

I tried moving a 50 lb bag of bird seed that had gotten wet and the bottom fell out. So I'm sweeping up bird seed.

This could be a mess. My sons are coming over on Saturday to break up the floor.

Bummer OT! Thats a lot of seed to sweep up!

Not to mention the pipe problem!

Having the perfect opportunity last night to score a goal at my soccer game - having the shot all lined up, dribbling the ball, and when it came time to shoot- realizing (too late) that I was on the wrong foot - and had to shoot left -footed - which didn't get my ball into the goal..

it just sorta putted itself and stopped perfectly infront of their goalie.

I got the basement floor dried off and then filled and emptied the wash tub. I watched to see where the water was coming up. Its coming through the wall. Right at the base of the floor.

I see a Bobcat in my future. Not to mention a new walk on the side of the house that will get dug out too. :worried:

Hells bells!!

ETA: After reading this post, I'm putting it in perspective and filing this under "stuff happens".

Two days and my car is still at the dealership to have a window replaced. There's some kind of lack of communication between them and the insurance company, and I can't get any answers.

Big thanks to the jerk who busted my car window out to take my stinkin lunchbag

KC - you have the worst luck with cars this year doll.

Have you considered just riding the bus until 2008?

What did you bring for lunch? Was it worth it?

I'd prolly break into a car for a (real) salami sandwhich, on sourdough, with hot pepper cheese, olive spread and pepperchinis covered in sub dressing with extra mustard.

and a big dill pickle.

mmmmmm. real food. *sigh* I miss that.

nice choice Vino. Now I'm hungry....

Actually my lunchbag was empty, because I ate my lunch earlier. At least they had the courtesy to leave the bag sitting 200 feet from my car, so I wasn't out anything other than a busted window.

Yeah, I'm not having a lot of luck with cars this year. I'd ride the bus, but that's even worse. Too bad my job wasn't closer to home, I'd ride a bike.

maybe they thought with such a pimpin ride it had either drugs or 100 dollar bills in it.

I mean really - who leaves an inconspicious lunch bag in their new car, that doesn't have some sorta of totally awesome treasure that would cause someone to break a window to get at??

KC - you gave me pause earlier - I was at the shopping center tanning at lunch, and I looked in my back seat. I have 2 purses (one is tanning stuff) another is actually my purse - well half my purse, I cant make my mind up between black or brown - so 50% of each of my crap is in both a gym bag, a soccer bag and tons and tons of bills etc with all my bank account info/ CC#s etc etc etc.

Suppose I should clean my car out after work eh?

Heh. My old car was so messy, it probably could've rivaled Santa Dave's (in fact I think a cooler crew member told me that once).

I never had that one broke into. Maybe because everything was so discombobulated even if I had expensive equipment they would've had to spend too much time finding it.

So.. lesson learned. Either really clean car or really messy car. Anything in between is askin for trouble.

I'm gonna get married at the Cathedral.

Its the biggest f'n church that there is....

that way people arent gonna say things like "where is that place? how do I get there?"

If you can get to Saint Paul, then you can probably find the Cathedral.... if not, then I think we've got some problems.

    beer can/bottle coolers, though?
