It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Hey Dave, I was under est. a little but, maybe on the grass, and if PB has ok parking maybe 60 cars. But I still like the area. to early to tell. one more hour!
well we were at Highland, where are the tennis courts everyone is talking about? We didn't find those, not a lot of people there, was a very big park, no clue where to start there, We finally found newell, i don't think there was much snow there that hadn't been undug.......
If it makes ya feel better, my mom went to St Bernards. But that was back when this thing was worth $100's. Doesn't it seem like they're trying to bring this great underground St Paul kind of thing into the mainstream? I mean, we'll probably end up with people from MINNEAPOLIS out here. I shudder to think....
Hey all!!! I was out at Newell today just to scope it out and I don't know anymore! It just didnt feel right but still considering. Highland is kinda sounding good. I sure hope tonight clue helps a little!!! I would love to see some of you out there!! You guys will have to let me know about yourselves!!!
I don't think "flying downhill" refers to sledding. I heard there is a ski jump you can see from battle creek park but its in the Maplewood part of the park "away from the action" what do you think?? Iconoclasts were also eastern orthodox. Does anybody know of eastern orthodox churches by parks?? There is one with a 641 prefex phone number which would put it close to newell
Why go dig if the park is bigger than HP and NP and there are hardely any clues. There hasn't been anyone there all night, and noone knows about it. I figure I'll wait to see if the clue points a direction rather than diggin for nothing. this park is huge
Hiya Barton--just got home--been trying to catch up the last 1000 posts....ARGHHHHHHHHH. So, i see we still have non-believers to our theory--once and this is the final time for all. William Wallace days--there were some folks called the HIGHLANDERS--they were at war with the Church of England--ravaged the countryside destroying all churches and ICONS!!! if you read the clue--you have to BECOME an ICONOCLAST!!!!((you can only become a HIGHLANDER by digging at HIGHLAND!!!)) Nice to see you Barton--ill be out there tonight--gonna use tonights clue to figgure out the area.(hopefully??)
Having trouble posting but if you are there GoldenBoy or Birdie my address is jamskillz@hotmail.com I'll email you at 11:30 if you want me too, and then I'll be en route
Woodduck, I'm not sure. I thought he'd tell me if he wanted me to call. Alliego offered as well. I can check unless he's still here and wants to tell us if he wants one of us to call him.
to anyone destined for highland tomorrow afternoon or anytime friday... i'll be wearing a blue and black jacket, some sort of cordouroys, probably some headphones, and a gray winter cap...
think iconoclast is a break with tipicle treasure hunting beleifs. like no repeating a park. or a break from the main parks like HP HF CP BC HI Como
most people i know that think its at como. live by come. its not como. newell was used in 84, it was attached to a broken 45 rpm record. it was found by my aunts friend kert. but i cant remeber his last name.
Or T&C!
Who is from St. Bernards? I saw someone mention it earlier
Barton, I liked your clue the first time you posted it.
saw it earlier and no one has said anything lately, but pig's eye park is the place.
Just got back from Newell. Dug up a rotten piece of fruit. (but checked it out anyway)
Pierce Butler doesnt sound like an iconocast. The Minnesota one was extremely conservative. Maybe the one from Ireland.

Goldenboy, you still there?
Regal and Patty: Do you think that the med is in Merriam Park?

Me and the Medallion Mobile
does anyone else think "the dark one" aka satan is writing the clues this year?
I found a dead squirrel today. I looked inside because you never know where they're going to hide it.Yuck!!
regal & patty have no idea where it's at
Robert how can pierce butler have parking, it would be like parking spots on snelling
Honestly, I think its Newell.
I like the Pigs Eye idea. Its the biggest waste plant around too. As well as the newer brew.
I dont know if I would consider Pigs Eye and Inconoclast. Maybe. The Catholics changed the name of St. Paul because it previously was called Pigs Eye.
Dave - I was out there at 8 - 9 AM this AM - "lined" up 954. You going out tonight?
Woodduck - check your e-mail for my mobile # - give me a call soon I need to leave soon to get the jump.

Amy T: I've got a button made with "Treasure Digger" on it. So look for me and say "Howdy"
It would not be too high up in a tree
Me and the Medallion Mobile

WW: Give me first names...chances are I know you
Does any one know what year the Ice Palace was at Phalen and if not do they know where I could find the information?

Amy T I have a white diaper, mostly clean, on my sleeve. Many people last year in the cooler crew had white hats or arm bands.
BZZZZZZ wrong answers

Hi Wright!!! Is your partner from last year joining you or are you solo this year?
These clues sure have us going. We had it narrowed to Cherokee or Highland by 4 last year...and by 6 had it picked.????

could the "past" be referring to the old water tower in highland? I have no idea if any of the other clues relate...haven't been out there yet...
