We have a bunch of 12 year olds in my neighborhood smoking dope and having sex.

Are you saying that's a good thing, Crabby?

Not in your lilly white neighborhood JT.

they get drugs, but get carded when they try to buy cigarettes and beer.

you got any gang dealers that provide them that too?

Crabby, why can't you answer simple yes or no questions?

Crabby, why can't you answer simple yes or no questions?

you don't ask them simply.

you asked me to confirm your claim of 12-year-olds doing drugs in your neighborhood by saying either it was "bad" or "good". It's not that simple of an answer. What I CANanswer is that I think it's WORSEwhen those kids gain access to a source of black market money and start fighting over it while on drugs. Far worse.

and where did this 12-year-old get these drugs?

from a criminal.

take the drugs away from the criminals and give them to the people (and there are a huge number of them) who can use them without wanting to sell them to 12-year-olds and can now control it.

and if drugs were legal, then naturally, the 12-year-olds couldn't have them even though they were cheap. That some idiot is letting their 12-year old have the wrong kind of drug (legal or not) is no reason to create a criminal drug underground for them. And creating a wealthy criminal underground is exactly what prohibition laws do. We know this already.

in your mind, I have no doubt it is.

Ignorance? You make me laugh. You know better than that, crabs. I'll agree to the hatred part but it isn't blanket hatred. Everyone gets a chance with me. If they demonstrate foolishness and take positions that I see as dangerous, then they are on the list. I see no reason to show tolerance. It has been my experience that it is very hard and maybe impossible for people to change their views.

and again we find ourselves not talking about the issue, but hurling insults.

You do your share, crabs.

homemade meth labs....another problem that prohibition brings with it.

back during prohibition this problem was "bathtub" gin...killed a lot of people.

LOL, Um, really bad idea guys...........

TAMPA - Carrying cocaine, drug paraphernalia and $1,000 in cash, the three young men in the 1983 Toyota Tercel thought they were entering the toll booth for the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway.

They tried to blow past it, authorities said, but didn't get far.

It turned out to be the gate to MacDill Air Force Base.

In seconds, they were swarmed by uniformed guards, military vehicles and machine guns.

"They had guards all over it. Machine guns in the windows," said Tampa police Capt. Bob Guidara. "They were surrounded."

In plain view on the car's front seat, according to authorities: rock cocaine.

Great argument for legalizing drugs, Crabby. You've got me sold.

it wasn't an argument for legalizing drugs.

it was an argument for not blaming drugs for people being stupid.

We all do it. It makes us more productive.

remember back in the mid seventies when American cars began to be really shitty?

It was right after Nixon cracked down on amphetamines.

it's the laws that needed "tossed"...which was the lesson of the tea party.

Ohhhhh..... so your going to toss the drug lawsoverboard then.

Lemme know when you get that done.

Wed, 09/10/2003 - 12:10 PM Permalink
crabgrass

so your going to toss the drug laws overboard then.

that's what is needed.

I guess you want the government telling you what you can and can't do...hey, if that's what you need...a government to tell you what you can and cannot do...that's your problem...but why do you want it to be everyone else's problem too?

Wed, 09/10/2003 - 1:23 PM Permalink
Wicked Nick

Did I say any of that?

Didnt think so.

Dont put words in my mouth again.

But yeah.. infact, sometimes "some" people do need the governemt telling them what they can/cant do, because believe it or not, theres some people out there, that if they have too much freedom, they can fuck it up seriously for others.

That is in the preamble of the Constitution. That part is the only part Crabs takes seriously.

Wed, 09/10/2003 - 2:14 PM Permalink

they can fuck it up seriously for others.

and we have laws for that.

but taking a drug in and of itself affect no one but the person who takes it.

sometimes "some" people do need the governemt telling them what they can/cant do

not unless they infringe on someone ELSE's rights.

Wed, 09/10/2003 - 2:24 PM Permalink
Wicked Nick

Thats wrong... way wrong... ive got family members/friends, who have done, and some that do them now, and everytime I see them, it affects me... and I know i'm not the only one.

not unless they infringe on someone ELSE's rights.

Why dont you chop up what I say, to make it fit your own statements, some more? Why do you think I said that people can fuck up the freedom that others have?... because when some people have too much freedom, and decide to use that to their advantage, then thats just what their doing is infringing on other peoples rights.... their "fucking it up for others"....

Ever heard the expression "Sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad"?

Wed, 09/10/2003 - 2:31 PM Permalink
crabgrass

and everytime I see them, it affects me... and I know i'm not the only one.

does it break your leg or pick your pocket?

or do you want laws to stop people from doing things that just make you feel bad?

I mean, when a friend watches too much TV, it effects me, but I don't want to outlaw watching TV.

"Sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad"?

so...taking drugs is a good thing?

okay.

or do you want the laws to effect those who only take too much?

I've done drugs...and I'll tell ya something about drugs, honestly...I know it's not the popular idea...you don't hear it very often any more, but it is the truth. I had a great time doing drugs.

sorry.

never murdered anyone, never robbed anyone, never raped anyone, never beat anyone, never cut my tongue off, never cut my dick off...laughed my ass off and went about my day.

sorry.

a guy cuts his dick off? I am DEFINITELY not doing drugs with that guy.

not that I give a rat's ass about your opinion. How could I? I see you and your ilk as part of the problem.

what problem is that?

that you aren't having as good a time as the people who take drugs?

because that's it really...you are so hung up on your false sense of rightousness that you just can't stand seeing anyone else having a better time than you allow for yourself. Puritanical I believe it's called.

what problem is that?

One of them is the simple fact that you exist.

because that's it really...you are so hung up on your false sense of righteousness that you just can't stand seeing anyone else having a better time than you allow for yourself. Puritanical I believe it's called.

Maybe it isn't false at all. Maybe you should consider that after all you claim to have an open mind.
