Here is all the pertinent information on the hunt:
The TMK mock hunt will start on Wednesday, September 17, and end on Sunday, September 28.
Clues will be released at 9 pm each night.
There will be 12 clues in all.
The treasure will be hidden on public land in Ramsey County (stay out of the fairgrounds, off the indian mounds)
The treasure will not be hidden in a spot that will endanger hunters (along a cliff, under an electrical box, on the water of a lake/river, etc)
If there are questions or concerns, please try reaching me by email or egram. I will have my cell phone with me, but while I am at work it will be off. I will check messages during breaks though.
Prize will be announced. Donations are welcome.
I don't think its hid too terribly hard.
I know where it isn't! In the bushes at the end of Page where ends at Chippewa. I walked around, behind and through those bushes. I pretended I was looking for a lost item in case anyone was watching.
I call it an Epiphany
I bet you didn't have to pretend very much, OT.
Haha I guess you're right Terry.

THOSE ARE HUGE BUSH!!!!!
I drove by there thismorning!
and that reminds me of when Jake and I were searching for someones treasure in the bushes at Chippewa (dont recall which hunt) and Jake told a woman that I lost my watch---geeesh
Once I got in the middle of them I wasn't even visable from the street. There are even paths in there. What do you suppose walks in there enough to make a path?
Do you really want to know, OT?
I'm not seeing a historical marker at Newell. Is there one?
Treasure hunters? ;)
none that we know of TV- and I know I know I said I was going to bed- :)
Depends on what sort of history you're thinking of.
I have some history at Cherokee Park. :)
"A historical marker in a park
Will bring the treasure site out of the dark"
Reg? I thought you and Marley are noodling together- and he doesnt like BC
Of course it could be as simple as a cornerstone on a building, but somehow I think it's more than that.
I like the Beacon at IM for that clue -TV
Me too...but one just can never say for sure what's right until someone finds that thing.
Yes I dont think he'd hide it there but it fits a lot.
I am going out tomorrow probably, not to battle creek tho.
OH and KILL BILL is getting 2 thumbs up on tv commercials tonight
goodnight goodnight
see you in the parks ;)
Goodnight to you - x 2!
Night me2 and Terry
IM has all those prairie grasses and wildflower areas now. Whether it's IM or not, I think that's important.
So what other parks have created those areas?
Birth of a Nation Joe!
Darn you Terry! haha
I stayed up late to do that too!
OT - I was just saying goodnight to me2...I'm not going to bed yet. I have a computer that I reformatted tonight and am currently downloading some updates. I'll be up for awhile yet.
Sorry bout that, OT.
I hardly ever try for those joes. Seems to be when I try I miss.
I wondered why you didn't say your CC's and ML's
Nite Me2.
I almost made it. Let me see. Now I can wait for The War of 1812 Joe or something like that.
Seems to me like Newell fits everything well enough and nothing else seems to, so I think I'm going to stick with that until the next clue or until I get a better idea.
Always a good idea to have a goal in mind, OT.
Are you going anywhere during your week off Terry? Other than up north? Not that that isn't a fantastic destination.
How about the French Revolution? Looks like you got that one.
Are we having fun yet?
Nope Art is the Bartender tonite reg.
Trying to make the golf thing fit somewhere, I thought of all the golf terms I could come up with and one of them was clubs - irons and woods. What park doesn't have woods? I thought that would help that clue fit just about anywhere.
We're going up north to our place and then further north to the north shore to get in touch again with the Lake. Think we'll go up as far as Grand Marais.
Our neighbor up there went to Duluth today and said the colors are spectacular right now.
Hehe reg.
farout but most of the parks have those no golfing signs ter!
Like newell and IM
Maybe the coin is simply hidden in a golf ball or a golfball box.
I know Marley - but where would you lose your golf balls? Sand traps, water hazards, the rough and the woods.
Sounds like a nice trip. I love Grand Marais. I love just about everything about Lake Superior.
Golf ball would be too small I think but good one with the box now that could be.
