1999 Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Dingdong Didillydias

Does anyone else see the logic behind the delayed hiding of the Medallion. I am not asking if you agree with me, I am just asking if you see my point and how that

would be benificial to the Winter Carnival and the pioneer press...right now the medallion hunt and the winter carnival is being mentioned on the news every night.

My yearning theory doesn't exist. That is why I brought it up. I don't think they would make it that easy as to have that refer to a school or a library. Let's get more

clever.

well like i said devils den hasnt even been touched and im going there if this clue points to it. Once you see a big hill go to it and you will be close but not close

enough. thats all i can say because i went there today just to scope things out when i go out tonight at 1200 and i wanna be the first ones to go in there.

A man of fame offers a useful name that can be found in many a tome...how would a man of fame's name (the devil?) be found in a "pitchfork" Hellooooooooo!!! A

man of fame (name) is found in a book!!!!! tome is a book!!!

All I keep hearing about is this devils den. I have seen Newell Park, and if this place is hard to find it can't be that big. The whole park is not really that large. So we

have a medium size park with a smaller area that supposedly is marked with a sign. Why haven't you people gone and found the damn thing. Why hang out here and

tell everyone exactly where it is and shoot down everyone elses ideas? BTW there really are not any sizable hills of any kind at Newell. None that I would want to

slide on anyways.

Theory: iconoclast (webster 83') one who attacks venerated (to look upon with feelings of deep respect) institutions or ideas which would be Ventura, due to the

reformed party votes. The sliding could be last year's slide at the Capital. the 9,5,4 if you add the 4 to 95 you get 99'. The learning would be the History center

where you can yearn for learning and the TOME (a book, esp. a large one) that could the catherdal for the bible. Thoughts!!!!!

I also think tome is not the important word in that clue. It simply ryhmes with home....

Too bad I'm out at my boyfriend's in Burnsville, otherwise I'd go out soon after the clue came out.

You are all too trusting...these are big companies that are behind the medallion hunt not your family...they are concerned with generating a buzz about the winter

carnival. If the medallion was found now they don't have as much power to attract people from the suburbs and Minneapolis...ya' dig? I would just like to announce

my commitment to the pioneer press...they are by far the superior twin cities news paper and I love the Winter Carnival...I am just being realistic here...if the

medallion is found now they will lose much more than $10000

yes and that book would be the bible which that persons name would be god and the devil as an iconoclast would just throw god out GOD being the image/belief

Ok, I thought about State Capitol, but clues say Saint Paul park. Last time medallion was at Captiol, it specifically referred to "public space". Capitol grounds not

City Property. But there is a small park Behind Cap that is St. Paul property.....

With this whole devil/iconoclast thing ... I am going to tell you this once ... The devil is not an iconoclast this is true because the devil is part of the belief system that

pertaines to GOD therefor he cannot go agianst that religious belief system ... therefor you must look to a historical FACT , an example of an iconoclast action

I'll throw this one last thought out, if no one wants to respond it will be my last. The fair is across from the job corps. Which is a place of learning. I can make the fair

fit all the clues in some way shape or form. Anyone want to hear it?

read 8316!! That will send you in a tail spin. The last time it was on the capital mall was in 89'. I feel that iconoclast is someone you look up to with honor and

respect. The score could be the new arena.
