<edit> Damn!!

All answered already. ;-(

I got them all except the island one where I thought the water was added after the tractor was on the high part of land in the middle of the hole where the lake ended up to be. Ice is right tho. And I have a huge (well not so huge anymore) ice block sitting on my front step, and I couldn't think of that. Sheesh!

Leelabell. You aren't supposed to read the previous posts before you make your guesses. Then you can play along when ever you get here.

I just do it in my head so I don't have to type all the stuff over again. You definitely need to play on your own tho. Otherwise what's the point. I do the same during the hunt. Make up my own opinions, then post them without slogging until later.

What state is surrounded by the most water?

Florida.

#13 A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys.

Impossible, unless ALL her children are boys, but that just makes it stupid. Or if one or more of her children are hermaphrodites, but that's just frickin' weird.

#14 Bill bets Craig $100 that he can predict the score of the hockey game before it starts.

Before the game, the score is 0 - 0.

#15 What is the greatest worldwide use of cowhide?

Shoes.

#16 Scientists have proven that cats have more hair on one side then their other side. Some people believe that this is because when cats lay on their side they need insulation from the cold on the floor or ground. Which side of a cat has more hair?

The outside.

#17 You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland.

Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island.

Explain how the tractor got there?

It went there when the surrounding water was frozen

#18 You are at a river. With you are a Chicken, Bag of Grain, and a Wolf. You have to cross the river in your canoe but can only take one with you at a time. You can't leave the chicken with the grain. He'll eat it. You can't leave the wolf with the chicken. He'll eat it. How do you get everything over and intact?

Oh geez, I've done this one before and can't remember. I'll come back to this one, I got to get some work done.

Ok, nevermind, I think I got it.

First you bring chicken over, then you bring the fox over, but bring the chicken back with you. Then you leave the chicken, and bring the grain. Finally you go back and get the chicken.

HIS#3 What county is at the southern edge of the Northern Borealis Forest?

Dunno

HIS#4 What Minnesota city is home to the world's largest ox cart?

Dunno

Do any other countries have states? Or just the US?

I believe they do. Don't know which ones though.

I just reread it, and it's phrased different than how I was taking it.

This is how it's phrased:
"What state is surrounded by the most water?"

I automatically thought of coastilne, but that doesn't mean it's surrounded by more water.

I have to switch my answer yet again to Hawaii.

Believe it or not it is not California, Hawaii or Florida. It is Minnesota the “Land of 10,000 Lakes.” When you combine all the rivers, lakes and ponds then Minnesota’s shoreline is 93,000 miles more than any other state. If Alaska ever measured the shoreline of all of its lakes, it would proba-bly win. It’s easy to find someone to look up to if you’re always sitting down.

Well, the maps I've found quickly suck, because they always show Alaska as a tiny little thing off to the side of the 48.

Using that map would definitely make Alaska the correct answer then as it looks like large island next to Hawaii.

I guess the correct response to #13 isn't so much that they're all boys but more like the other half are boys too. That way you don't cut little Johnny in half.

#12 Hawaii. All of it is surrounded by water. Most people, amazingly enough, get this one wrong. They either say Maine, Florida, Alaska, or California.

#13 ALL the children are boys, so 1/2 half are boys and so is the other half.

#14 Bill said the score would be 0-0 and he was right. "Before" any hockey game starts, the score is always 0-0.

#15 To cover cows! hahahaha... that was too dumb!

#16 Well Duh! The outside of the Cat of course!

#17 It was driven over in winter when the lake was frozen.

#18 Take the Chicken over first and leave it on the other side.
Next, take the Wolf across and leave him, but bring the Chicken back with you.
Next trip, leave the Chicken where you started and take the Grain across with the Wolf.
Finally, go back and get the Chicken.
