The treasure was found just before 9am on Wednesday, March 10th, by Me2. She will get a prize around $290 plus a variety of other goodies. It was found in Marydale Park on the north side in a pit under a tree near lamp post #12.
The wrap up party will be Saturday, March 13th at 8pm at Fabulous Fern's.

It's all a matter of finding the clever hiding place of that kitty. Two clues left.
I think the snow has made this hunt go on longer. It kind of multiplies the hiding spots. I'm sort of tempted to try and go check on it, but I thought the same thing at Phalen and it turned out to be right where I left it. And I rather doubt it moved this time either.
The snow has definately made a difference. Last night there was good snowcover and tonight there's bare spots again.

When I left this morning I considered shoveling first. Then when I got home a few hours later it had all melted! :-) I'm going to ignore any further snow and let it melt.

I usually do that after March 1st every year. By not doing it you also don't end up with the snowbanks that take longer to melt. Northern exposed driveways and cement ones might have a harder time letting things go just yet.
The problem comes if it doesn't melt. We're obligated to clear the sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of the snow fall.

Glad you asked OT. It only has a few 50 degree days left in her. I'll try and post a montage or a morph of a few pictures I took over the last couple of weeks once it's gone.
Thanks for the ice block update, CM. I was wondering about that earlier today while listening to the water run off the roof at work.
I was hoping to hang in here until Kitch returned, but after a full day at work, a drive up north and back, a little hunting and finally some dinner - thank goodness for BK! - I've had it. If I don't go to bed now, I'll wake sometime in the middle of the night with little squares all over my face.

It was hidden before the first clue! I'm a little surprised it hasn't been found yet though not entirely. I'm curious though if it just got passed over somehow or if people are in the wrong spots.
we still have some untouched area to cover yet. That's one nice thing about the snow anyway. You can tell where people have been.

I hate to tell ya this Clue master its hard to tell already in a lot of spots today it was warm enough to do a lot of melting...I had a hard time telling where I was at even this AM...and I knew where I was at....
I wanted to find something and I had to look for about 15 mins for it...because of the night and the melting (wasn't sure where I walked).
I almost forgot nobody left when I got outta there...JAKE WENT HOME B4 ME! and reg to...they left without saying bye ;(

I really only get out at night hunting for either the big hunt, or I'd do it a couple months beforehand, rest of the year I got my limits.
But it's cool to figure the clues out anyways.
That's pretty much what I do too for the mock hunts. But I did go out today because it was such a nice day. Didn't do any hunting. Just visited with people.

wish I could do that more often, stupid work... no offense to anyone not working or can easily take time off of course.
gets kinda frustrating even with geocaching, some guy hid a 100 dollar coin out at crosby, and a group of people take off work early and go find it. But alas, it does get me out in the parks on the weekends, even if my cache find numbers don't increase as quickly as other people's do.
