At this rate, we will still be trying to figure out these clues when it warms up to 50 degrees next July. How long is this hunt suppose to last this year?

THE ROCK---K is still asleep so I don't know for sure. But last night, he was certain that we would go and if we do, it would probably be at about noon today. I

will wake him up before 11am. Do you think we should go to TRIANGLE PARK and LINWOOD PARK???????--I read some of the St. Francis stuff and it

sounds good.

iconoclast) parkway, highland highschool, athletic fields and an undisturbed golf course??? people are startin to tear that place up.

What are the reasons for Phalen? What famous person??

Sun, 01/31/1999 - 10:13 AM Permalink

How could it be Phalen? Phalen is not in St. Paul.

Whoever writes these clues is a real mastermind. Years past, the clues were so elementary. You can see a trend with last years and this years clues - much more

difficult.

However, last year at this time 90% of us were already at cherokee. Now, it seems like there is no common opinion as to where the thing is. Baffling.

I agree with you Donutman. I'm sitting here thinking that almost every park that's in this discussion fits. All of us can make the clues fit for the park of our choice. It's

driving us all crazy. The daytime driving around works for looking at all the parks, but you have to go back at night to also try to fit in the clues. I have to agree with

everyone on their thoughts. This year's clues are very vague and at the same time very specific. Ahhhhhh!!!

Hey clarks - Phalen fits with the old and new concept because Phalen has never been used before. Also, the iconoclast reference breaks with tradition by placing it

in a park never before used.

Not that I'm convinced that its Phalen.

Phalen's been used. It's been used several times. The south part of Phalen is in St. Paul, the other is in Maplewood.

Sister Sister, it's only the second year for the guy writing the clues for the medallion. You can truly tell he's a monster. It may come down to the wire to find this little

Dont you think the guy who writes these clues would watch us at the cooler and get an idea that we dont know where it is yet and write a new clue different from the

original 12 he wrote when he hid it to get us to the right park?

Previous posts have stated that there are a lot of people at Phalen. Something about a house actually having the address of 954. Many are convinced it is there. I

personally haven't made it to Phalen but will add it to my list for today. Feel sorry for those hunters who are watching the Superbowl game today.

Part 2 of Meda…

sister sister this may take awhile but please lend a eyeball here. CLUE1 tells us it's in St.Paul and that there is a golf course. Clue2 Sliding down hill o.k. fine there is

a hill there, not big but still a hill, and also don't get to close to this action. Clue3 Numbers keep score and adorn a front door, there is a house on Ivy St that has the

#954 in the order also there is a old folks home there address has a 95 in it. also a #4 on the 4 way stop sign, on forrest. Clue 4 Studing the past, and If you're

willing to be an iconoclast, o.k. i think that is telling us to look at the past clues, study the past, that's where i think the golf course comes in because if i think like an

iconoclast it tells me to go agaisnt the grain , think different so golf course is the spot, don't dig it up but be in a park with one. Clue 5 goal, maybe hockey rink is the

ticket there, or Farnsworth school is 1 block away worth was also a word used in that clue Clue 6 Aman of fame that one is Nathaneil Hawthorne, street goes into

Phalen also the home you could look at it a gottage there is a street call cottage the runs into the parkARE YOU STILL THERE? I KNOW THIS IS TAKING

LONG

I think Phalen is in Maplewood. Remember the last time it was hid in Maplewood? About 1980 or so. Maplewood threatened to take the Pioneer Press to court if

they ever put it in Maplewood again, because of all the damage done to their parks. I think it's hid out here in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's probably in the valcano in

front of the Mirage hotel, on the strip. Should I start looking?

Soup, think Ramsey County might give you a better chance at finding the medallion. Afterall, the rules state is hidden in Ramsey County. Just a thought!!

Part 2 of Meda…

you're right Phalen is in ST. Paul there is the northern part in Maplewood but that not where i"am talking about. over on the south western part of the park is where

my group is. AND what does St. Francis have to do with anything?????

Sun, 01/31/1999 - 10:26 AM Permalink
Treasure Digger

Phalen is in St. Paul -- the south side of it. About 3/4 of the park is St. Paul. Check your map. I believe Larpenter divides the two cities and the park.

The clues are spelling out St. Francis is the theory of that.
